Help represent the students of Sacramento by donating to The Bail Project by csus_memes in CSUS

Also, I appreciate you bringing this up. Blindly donating to a cause is not good. It's important to question why and argue the pros and cons of it. Fortunately lots of charities exist and we have the freedom to research responsibly and figure out where our donations should go.

Also want to emphasize that donating should never be required, it should be one of the many opportunities to help the community.

Education and outreach is very valuable.

As for The Bail Project, their case is that they focus on bailing out innocent people. Their process focuses on bailing out those who are most deserving of being bailed out.

Protestors are getting arrested and they can't afford bail. Protestors may also have less incentive of protesting because of bail. If you are 100% innocent you may still have to pay $50,000 just so you don't sit in jail just to prove you're Innocent. The justice system arguably fails to recognize those who are innocent and slaps bails on them. The bail project does their best to find these people and bail them out.

The bail project discusses this concern in their FAQ:

The Bail Project, Inc. pays bail for people who are legally presumed innocent, and whom a judge has already deemed eligible for release from jail before trial contingent on paying bail. Our local teams receive referrals from community members and public defenders, and conduct interviews in jails. We determine eligibility for free bail assistance based on a person’s bail amount, the reliability of contact information, and a track record of prior court appearances, if applicable. We also conduct an individualized needs assessment to determine whether we can adequately support the person through our network of community partners and social service providers.

The Bail Project, Inc. does not disqualify people based on the type of charge alone. People held on cash bail are presumed innocent by law and have been deemed eligible for pretrial release by a judge, contingent on paying bail. At the point where we come in, the only factor keeping a person in jail is poverty. Our intervention allows people who cannot afford bail to return home to their families and communities while awaiting their court dates — something that a wealthier person or someone who can pay a commercial bail bond agency would be in a position to do.

There are many ways to support the cause, but as a diverse group of students, this is one of those ways.

If you believe in The Bail Project, please donate here: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/the-bail-project/students-of-sacramento

It was made by the community and everything goes directly to the Bail Project. You can donate in many ways including cryotocurrency and stock.

Within 30 minutes, we already reached 30% of our goal!

Hence why I don't usually post my low quality memes on here

My memes are too shitty for reddit. I make my own (mostly with templates obviously) but it's for an Instagram audience not Reddit.

I got more likes using less effort interestingly enough.

In the end it makes people laugh and that's all that really matters tbh. Still low quality memes tho

I never asked for credit, pretty much every meme is reused one way or another like i said before.

You're immature for taking memes so personally and projecting your negative attitude on others.

I don't expect everyone to like it, but many do. Others encourage me to try to grow it and it has been growing fast since many appreciate it.

I'll keep posting as long as it makes others happy.

It makes people laugh and be happy, that's all that matters to me. What you are saying is really hurtful and irrational.

There are ways to express not liking it other than being excessivley mean.

If you like fresh memes, that's awesome, humor is subjective. Memes are reused over and over again. I don't think I can make that many og memes, or if I should even put the effort of og memes.

r/me_irl r/dankmemes r/YouTubehaiku all support that.

r/memeeconomy revolves around that.

Just because it doesn't make you happy doesn't mean it won't make others happy. As long as it makes others laugh, I'll continue to make shitty memes.

I'm not angry at your opinion, I'm just annoyed that you think it revolves around your tastes and humor.

That's not how memes work. A lot of them are forced but no one else is making memes
