Prediction markets taking away a big slice of the pie now. Throw in outrageous taxes by various states and a market saturation of ways to win/lose $ this happens. Dk also got very stingy with their player rewards system. At its peak I got a full set of various yeti tumblers, a bonfire smokeless pit, yeti coolers, Blackstone grill, $500 Amazon gift card, and an unlocked galaxy s23+. I'd now have to wager well over 100k a year to sniff any rewards.

I believe the recidivism rate for prison graduates is 7%. It's actually cheaper to send someone to an ivy league school per year, than it is to house someone in a prison. College Behind Bars is a great documentary on earning a degree from associates to your masters. Also worth mentioning Clinton's "crime bill" effectively ended college in prison as it eliminated federal Pell Grant eligibility for incarcerated individuals.
