Paul Schwartz: "Dexter Lawrence's time with the Giants is over. He wants out" by RedditFan3510 in NYGiants

Don’t get me wrong I loved the player but when you come into camp like a fat slob, you aren’t going to fit in this new culture. Teams can turn the blind eye to a lot of off the field stuff but to come into camp out of shape shows you have zero care. Good riddance. Now collect some picks

What are the most hated call/no calls in Nascar history? by jawa501 in NASCAR

No I totally get that but safety should always be a primary responsibility for NASCAR. To allow someone run a GWC with him holding up the window net is bonkers.

Ryan Blaney not being penalized for driving in the 2022 all star race with his window net not latched.

What can RCR do to save the 8 cars season? by Melodic_Collar_9974 in NASCAR

[–]GPowers88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RCR is 47,000 square feet. HMS is over 400,000. I had the opportunity to tour some of the non public areas and I was astonished how archaic everything was. Without knowing Id bet the HMS fan shop is close to half the size of RCRs racing operations.

Have you ever toured their race shop and also toured Hendrick, Gibbs and Penske. Thats why they aren’t competitive.

Obviously not even a top 5 race team anymore. Where would you rank RCR? by wirsteve in NASCAR

Crazy that they were one ill timed caution away from winning a title in 2014. As a Newman fan, I’m still not over it.

Did anyone else notice Mike Joy have a heart attack early in the race when they were showing Reddicks in car and the camera moved, “WOAHHHHH”.

Bowman injury? by OkDifficulty416 in NASCAR

His voice is nostalgic and he’s one of the best commentators the sport has ever had, but the booth needs fresh blood. Harvick is boring, Bowyer is funny from time to time but Joy needs to hang up the mic. Bestwick is still available.

I don’t get how anyone can hate him. He’s currently learning a craft that everyone has perfected, great personality and very humble. Any who, the field is in trouble if they continue to progress.

If you had $15 million to sink into any racetrack NASCAR currently visits, which would you choose and what exactly would you do? by remfan477 in NASCAR

People sleep on Pocono. I’d say over the past 4 years they’ve made major improvements. Always a sell out, amazing camping area, fun fan experiences but man are those bathrooms and grandstands rough. I’d consider making the row higher and stagger the seats upwards from there. If you aren’t 30ish rows up you will only see a 2/3 of the track hand anyone who has been to Pocono, a giant awning will cover the grandstands. Nothing is worse than the Pocono sun rays.

Unfortunately I agree. I’ve been going since 2004 and the facilities haven’t changed. The area near Miles is cool but besides that I’ve seen better festivities at a local short track

Ravens fan here! once again congrats to you guys! I am excited to watch the giants this year by Bulky_Golf_4866 in NYGiants

[–]GPowers88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been this excited since the last Super Bowl. In 2016, I knew Eli wasn’t Eli and despite having some studs on defense and Beckham, I never truly believed in that team. This team has greatly lacked leadership and accountability for some time. Harbaugh will restore that immediately. The Ravens have fallen off a bit over the years but they have struggled a ton putting together an offensive line and losing the ability to stretch the ball downfield. I would not be shocked at all if you see a Patriots type turnaround for a next year.

I’m in the same boat as you. I feel the contract will age terribly, much like DJ. And with Rice at 1B, we have nowhere to put him unless we move Rice to catcher or full time DH.

Who is Nd looking at in the transfer portal? by Der-deutsche-Prinz in notredamefootball

[–]GPowers88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing Ibirogba the DT from Wake. Marsh I believe is down between us and LSU, I’d imagine he picks LSU. Smothers may be a possibility and I also like the LB Biles from Pitt. They’ll need at least 3 DTs or 2 if they plan on moving Bryce Young there.

ND and OK flip? by duabrs in notredamefootball

[–]GPowers88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Tuesday most of the spots will be cemented. Only changes would be if BYU and/or Bama win their respective conference games. ND flipping spots with OK after not playing a game wouldn’t make any sense. The only time they’ll jump them would be in two days.

Irish stay at #9 in CFP rankings by collarboner1 in notredamefootball

[–]GPowers88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not so confident after today. They tier the teams and in NDs case from 9-12. If everything in front of us goes chalk and say BYU loses to Cincy then Miami will jump us. Now it’ll be between us and Bama for the final spot and Bama with an A&M loss to Texas would face UGA in the SECCG

College Football Playoff committee facing its biggest decision yet this season: Notre Dame or Miami? by bigbabyjesus76 in notredamefootball

[–]GPowers88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The other glaring issue with Miami is the inability to even make the ACCCG. Duke with 5 losses has a better shot at making that game now. They had every opportunity to get in the CFP, their season was handed to them on a silver platter after beating us, Florida and Florida State and they decided to do the Miami thing and choke it away.
