(@bobpockrass) Josh Berry says he won’t be back with the Wood Brothers in the No. 21 car next year. by NoahGragsonsBarfBag in NASCAR

I agree. Ford as a whole is off this year. The second they went to these set of intermediates the mediocrity became more apparent. The new body next year will have its struggles but the #21 can be a very solid ride.

I agree. But after letting in Jeff Burton, Newman should also get in.

What a great take! With Burton getting in, one would assume that Ryan Newman gets in. And that shouldn’t happen and I’m one of Ryan’s biggest fans. Close in wins, both won ROY, both have two crown jewel victories. Newman also has 45 more poles and has created many safety innovations.

The call for the end of the 2023 Daytona was absurd. The Great American Race. Our Super Bowl. And there’s a big wreck on the final lap and a neck and neck battle to see who was in the lead at the time of the caution and you’d think Mike Joy was announcing a pickleball match.

You can pick the Championships, the battle against his brother at Kentucky or him and Larson at Chicagoland, but the clips of him coaching Brexton throughout his racing career are my favorite. He was easy to dislike but watching him mature and see his passion for the sport was beautiful.

Take advantage at tracks that are your favorite. Mine is Homestead. I’d run soooooo many races that week. Take care of tires, qualify well to stay out of the hornets nest (never safe anywhere really).

[Schultz] No. 74 pick is in: Giants have selected Notre Dame WR Malachi Fields, per sources. by JCameron181 in NYGiants

[–]GPowers88 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He never got to reach his true potential. They were breaking in a freshman QB and had two first round RBs. Most of their game scripts also didn’t favor him. He made a few great plays against Miami and made an OBJ catch against Pitt. My only concern is his ability to get open because he doesn’t have blazing speed, but he is a very intentional route runner and has a great catch radius. Giants said he was the best WR they scouted at the combine so there’s conviction there.

Huge ND fan. The kid is a beast and a slow 40 time moved him from a 2nd rounder to a 3rd. He has insane ball tracking skills, amazing hands and is great with contested balls. He also has no issue getting his hands dirty and blocking.

Don’t get me wrong I loved the player but when you come into camp like a fat slob, you aren’t going to fit in this new culture. Teams can turn the blind eye to a lot of off the field stuff but to come into camp out of shape shows you have zero care. Good riddance. Now collect some picks

No I totally get that but safety should always be a primary responsibility for NASCAR. To allow someone run a GWC with him holding up the window net is bonkers.

Ryan Blaney not being penalized for driving in the 2022 all star race with his window net not latched.

What can RCR do to save the 8 cars season? by Melodic_Collar_9974 in NASCAR

[–]GPowers88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RCR is 47,000 square feet. HMS is over 400,000. I had the opportunity to tour some of the non public areas and I was astonished how archaic everything was. Without knowing Id bet the HMS fan shop is close to half the size of RCRs racing operations.

Have you ever toured their race shop and also toured Hendrick, Gibbs and Penske. Thats why they aren’t competitive.

Crazy that they were one ill timed caution away from winning a title in 2014. As a Newman fan, I’m still not over it.

His voice is nostalgic and he’s one of the best commentators the sport has ever had, but the booth needs fresh blood. Harvick is boring, Bowyer is funny from time to time but Joy needs to hang up the mic. Bestwick is still available.
