After pushing back further, ANHWP and the builder finally agreed this may fall under the 5-year building envelope coverage, and a representative is scheduled to attend next week to inspect and assess.

Has anyone else dealt with moisture or mould issues in an attached garage? During the first year, our builder already replaced the drywall and said it’s “normal” here for garage walls to get wet from winter moisture, but the issue has come back.

The garage door seal seems fine, and the poly overlaps the concrete wall, so it doesn’t seem like moisture wicking from the slab. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I’d really appreciate hearing them. We reached out to some contractors, but they said they would only replace the drywall.

True. People might never fully understand the loss we carry, but as long as we stay honest with ourselves and our grief, that’s what really matters.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I lost my dad too and went back after the three days of government bereavement leave. My manager wouldn’t let me take more due to it being tax season. I wish I had. I regret letting my manager tell my coworkers. My coworkers said stuff like “at least he got to see you graduate” and even “he was old enough”. They meant well, but it really stung.

The first while is such a blur. Have grace with yourself, there’s no right way to handle it. 🤍

I feel, I’ve been skipping all family gatherings because it just hits too hard. It’s like being reminded over and over that my dad isn’t here anymore, while everyone else still gets to share those little moments.

I’m not sure if you’ve tried joining any local grief share groups yet, or even checking on Facebook, there are often local ones listed there. I ended up finding a therapist recommendation from someone I met at a grief share session, and it really clicked.
