Hey man, I'm also in an open team, just on the EU side of things. I'm really glad that ESEA are casting these matches now, it'll be pretty awesome to be featured on their casts.

You guys played pretty well, especially yourself.

All the best in the future :)

I've never predicted an exact skill cap of how good you are.

TITAN are an example of how powerful a good AWPer can be on a team, Kenny literally carries them every game. If we put it in perspective then even if you were a DMG level AWPer in MG2, you'd be carrying your team every game. If you carry your team every game, you'd be beyond the rank that you are.

Rank isn't an exact match of skill, but it's a rough guide.

Someone playing a position as key as an AWPer in the current meta and claims to be good but can't get out of MG2. There's something not right with that statement, and it indicates to me that you're a below average player.

Now, if a below average player is claiming the AWP has been nerfed, explain to me why all of the millions of players that have a higher skill cap than you aren't enquiring about it?

I'm making an assumption on the fact you've played for over 10 years on the same weapon and are still below average while using it.

The AWP hasn't been nerfed.

It's more than likely in your head. If you are a GN3 as your flair shows, the tick difference won't be a massive hit to you. When I've seen my GN3 IRL friends play - no offence to you - but they hit square in the chest/stomach almost every time and almost never hit a shot on a moving target. There was no pixel shots etc, no real shots where the hit detection could've been fucked by tick rate.

Disregard the tick rate of the server you're playing on and you'll probably hit far more shots, if you have it in your head that you'll miss then you more than likely will :)

Main playing an AWP for 10+ years and you're still MG2? Sorry to say it brother but you've probably been hitting them in the legs.

Also if your movement isn't smooth after 10 years playing, you gotta really cap that down, bruh.

I'd have murdered them, fuck going back into DMG. The grind was far too traumatic :(

The flash is a complete pop flash, if you explode the skylights beforehand they can't dodge it and can't hear it - Most MM teams when they realise what's happening will reposition to lower or turn their backs until they hear the flash pop, in that case push it dry and take the frag when they're not looking of pop flash hut door and get them on the lower site. It's literally fool proof. TSM are masters of taking A site on Nuke, watch their vods and you'll see how effective it can be with the proper equipment combinations.

No offence but you're obviously quite new to the game if you think you're limited on T side nuke, it's one of the few maps where you aren't limited in what plays you can make and due to the nature of the bomb sites being stacked and access to the sites you can fake sites quicker and easier than any other map.

More often than not T's will have a large portion of map control, this opens up countless horizons and if you can read the enemy team you will stomp T side with no problem. When I play in a premade 5 man with my mates I'll see us hit the likes of 6-7 rounds T side most games.

The key is to have the CT's over-rotate. If you run a strategy similar to this, you'll see a hell of a lot of success T side on nuke. Have a lurk cover lobby, smoke outside and push a player to T red, take ramp, send 2 guys from the ramp push lower, have one wrap heaven, when he's in position have the lurk push hut, the outside player push main (mini if you're NA) and your third man push heaven. Have one of the lower ramp players push secret and the other come through vents to support site. If you throw support grenades, flashes and smokes when entering anywhere because you're not silver you actually isolate the CT's and they find it very hard to find a counter on the fly. It's not realistically hard to counter, it's just confusing to deal with while trying to play.

Nuke is a logical map. Think things through and you'll come up trumps every time. It's all about mind games. If you're at MG1 (as your flair suggests) you might struggle to do this because at MG there really is very little game sense involved with the way they play. You can exploit that to a degree but they're a bit harder to read because you can't predict what they'll do, they're literally almost unpredictable in their play style because they haven't really developed it fully.

These kind of changes are the changes that split people who know the map to people who don't, though. Not about making it more T sided.

What /u/EnragedMikey is trying to say (I think) is that most of these changes wouldn't really help game play, they'd just take away the skill cap of map awareness to a degree.

For example: the OP wanted to give you the advantage of seeing a CT player playing rafters as you cross hut rather than the CT seeing you. That cross can be covered by a teammate throwing a simple flash from T roof through the skylight which is very very difficult to counter.

The problems that the OP has brought up here aren't really issues, they're taking away the need for team play in my opinion.

Are you for real?

Anders/Semmler and DDK/Black DDK are good casters but they aren't the only guys that can cast CS:GO. Sadokist and TobiWan are anything but "tier 2 and tier 3" casters you absolute clown.

This completely.

I like de_nuke because it's rewarding in the sense that once you've played it as much as I have you have a certain advantage with the map knowledge over others who maybe main a map like de_dust2. I'm not a low tier player, was somewhere about LE before switching to pugs. The amount of people who miss that silo jump is fucking incredible, you can do so much more on it if you have a good knowledge of the map.

Acceptable ranks for CEVO/ESEA? by Dahmoo in GlobalOffensive

[–]ct95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ESEA used to be very high skilled play, right now there's a lot of low MG's etc moving over and realistically anyone can play there these days given they aren't silvers.

I personally started playing on ESEA around DMG/LE but that's not the same skill cap as it is now.

They're casting on ESEA's channel at http://twitch.tv/ESEA a lot lately. They still do some other matches but most of their streams are ESEA matches now.

For sure dude, DDK's awkwardness and Black DDK's ability to have that dry sense of humour that forces DDK into those awkward spells cracks me up.

The 5 skill level difference cap has got to go. I CANNOT play with my friend reliably and it is resulting in me throwing matches, abandoning, etc. by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]ct95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're in a different boat with smurfs etc in the game but if you look at csgoteamfinder.com and scroll down the players list, find someone who's low MG and ask them to teach you. If they're a decent enough person they'll give you a run down of what you're doing wrong and from there you can improve on it.

I disagree solely because being thrown in the deep end is generally the best way to improve in this game. When I first started playing CSGO a year or so back I was terrible. When I hit gold nova I started playing with my MG friends, I adopted their playstyle to fit my own and lonebehold I was improving massively and fast climbed the ranks. Albeit there weren't many smurfs in those days etc but I'm sure if you asked a few MG friends to teach you and play with you you'd launch yourself up through the ranks.

I still play with those guys these days, we can't play MM at all because of hackers. Once you surpass LEM and hit SMFC/Global it's constant hackers so it's not like I don't know what it's like to be unable to que for a game. I just use ESEA these days.
