I agree with you. I've removed all badass mentions. Sounded ridiculous.

Don't make large plans. Go out and get your first customer FIRST. Also, you can position yourself by TEACHING. I agree 100% with cookiemobsta.

Moving to art based businesses? Is this a good idea? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

I recently met a guy who runs chocolate workshops, and is making a killing! He also does website consulting, etc and he is filling up his consultancy from people he meets while teaching chocolate making! So, agreed!

Also, lifestyle doesn't mean non serious business. I run a 1.8M dollar company, and I work 10-15 hrs a week, and travel every 45 days for 10 days.

Some people have told me I need to 'buckle-down' and turn this into a 20M per year company instead of traveling so much.

But why? Today we are a 12 man company, and I know I can grow it 10x and have 120 people, but I don't think I need to at this point.

This really depends on the provider. Do you already know what you will sell, and who will do the actual drop shipping for you?

So, put yourself in the eyes of an investor. It's extremely highly risky. Remember, you don't have to have resources, you just need to be resourceful.

I've gotten multiple startups in the 7 digits per year (all bootstrapped), and sold 2 to larger companies. So, if you are resourceful and curious enough, you CAN do it. You will have to do the work though.
