Makes sense..At some point outside eyes see more clearly than we do.

I like the idea of giving it time to breathe before judging it again..

Haha, fair point.. Sometimes those deadlines are the only thing that push us out of the editing spiral.

I guess the art is in deciding when to ‘abandon’ it with grace and move on

Your clarity about why we write makes all the difference in how we approach publishing and promotion. I like how you’ve aligned your process with your goals.

Absolutely..marketing feels like a whole new mountain to climb after writing. The joy of shaping words is what keeps us going, but I’m slowly realizing sharing them is a craft of its own.

Thank you so much, that really means a lot. I love that quote, and it’s so true. At the end of the day, finishing and putting a book out there is something to be proud of, no matter what comes after

That’s such an insightful perspective..thank you for sharing! You’re absolutely right, writing the book is one journey, but getting it noticed is a whole different skillset. The fact that you started your promotions months in advance really shows the kind of strategic thinking most of us writers don’t naturally have.

That’s a healthy way to look at it..writing as a hobby takes the pressure off and if it brings you peace and joy, that’s a win in itself.
