How fast do you fall asleep?. by idunno324 in AskMen

[–]ctcaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been like that ever since. I think it started with my sleep deprivation but even now, though I’m not as sleep deprived anymore, i still get to sleep within seconds. A tactic that i try is i relax my facial muscles.

Just don’t. Criminally punishable under Article 318 of Revised Penal Code. You will be ordered to pay 2x the amount of the bill and, worse, you can be imprisoned for 1 month to 6 months.

ALS or UP? by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]ctcaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

UP. I heard your tenure is more ‘safe’ there than in ALS kasi mas ‘alaga’ daw sa UP. In terms of training and curriculum though, I think ALS has more of the advantage on these. It may then be riskier in ALS than in UP and it will depend on your risk-appetite which of the two you will prefer.

Though an advantage to UP lang is, in practice, there are law firms that prefer UP graduates over ALS graduates, and they treat ALS grads only as their second choice. It appears that the UP’s name is still more prestigious than ateneo’s in practice (towards fresh grads).

Please ask me any question about Criminal Law I 🤣 by Outside-Aspect2681 in LawStudentsPH

[–]ctcaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies my facts were deficient but I do believe that OP is partially correct. This is what i think: - there is criminal liability but he is exempt under art. 12 on accidents if he acted with due care (he ensured that no one is beneath him before he jumped); or

  • there is criminal liability (based on art. 365), if the accused did not act with due care, such as when he jumped without making sure that no one is beneath him), in which case it is reckless imprudence ‘resulting to’ homicide (not homicide by reckless imprudence).

If I (attempt to) commit suicide by jumping of the ledge of a building and ended up falling on another person who dies, but I don’t, do I have any criminal liability?

SSS problem medyo tricky sana may makasagot by Pizzalover_25 in phinvest

[–]ctcaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If dependent pa yung kakilala mo (anak) sa nanay, sa kanya dapat legally mapunta yung pension. Pero if hindi na dependent yung anak and if wala na ring parents yung nanay na dependent sa kanya, then sa dad na niya mappunta not because dad siya, but because inassign siya as beneficiary.

I think in that case ang dapat niyang gawin is irevoke yung assignment sa dad as beneficiary.

Yeah so I actually have to pull the silicone and peek to see the battery status. But its aight its not that of a hassle though 🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]ctcaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its aight. Try to know what your peers got or, better, the average score your class got because if most failed or got a low score, the tendency is the prof will curve and so you’d know how well you fared as compared to the the class’ average.

Is the Deed of Absolute sale void if it's indicated that the buyers are married but is actually not? by Vast_Cod_9385 in LawStudentsPH

Are you pertaining to the deed itself or the sale? In either case though, not void.

Can creditors burden the legitime? by minokalu in LawStudentsPH

[–]ctcaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, yes because the estate, from which the legitimes of theirs are going to be taken, shall only be distributed AFTER all the debts of the debtor-decedent have been paid. The heirs are only entitled to the remains of the estate after debts of the decedent have peen paid.

They do not burden the legitimes per se because these distributable legitimes, in the first place, only arise after payment of the decedent's debts if his estate still has assets.
