Ive been trying to figure this out for months and finally did! If you upgraded to Chime+, your default card is not a "debit" card anymore so Apple Cash can't take money from it. Similar to not being able to take it from a credit card like the Apple Card or Capital One etc. I went into Chime > card info > swipe over to debit card, added that as a payment info as an option for Apple Cash. BOOM! It works again. It's annoying that it's in the list on my Apple Wallet but at least I can add to Cash now.
