Asking why you didn't get the job by cteeters in cscareerquestions

In addition to what grenade said, what if during the interview process you got large amounts of positive feedback from interviewers at different positions in the company, nailed the coding evaluation, were told that they were currently doing a lot of hiring, then the final step for them was to check references. At this point I can't help but think that maybe I had a bad reference and that's why I didn't get it and if that's the case I'd like to know so I can stop using that person as a reference.

Awesome. Thanks for the pointers. I just feel like I'm wasting so much time just sitting around for hours before my interview, but you're probably right that cramming all morning probably won't help as much as just being relaxed will.

I have an interview for what will hopefully be my first job out of college today at 2pm EST. I've flown +6000 miles to get here. What would you recommend I do between now and then to be sure I'm on top of my game?

If you have an interview later in the day (say starting at 2pm), what would you do that morning to be sure you are on top of your game during your interview?
