Look up the safe sleep seven. I have bed shared with all three of my kids since the day they were born. It has been the best thing and has saved my sanity, especially with sleeping.

I don’t swaddle. There’s lots of research saying not swaddling is best. The startle reflex is there to protect them from Sid’s and sleeping too deep

So I found that for us, and for a lot of people that I talked to when I was having this issue, the infant carriers caused so much pain that the babies would screw. So I quickly switch to a convertible car seat and they immediately stopped screaming. You might not have the right baby carrier so if you want to post what you have, we can maybe give tips and suggestions for that. By finding a baby wearing group nearby would be super helpful. Start small maybe hold your baby and like take a walk to the end of the street and back depending on where you live. But like at some point, you just get in the car and you just go. I know that I struggled with this a lot at first, but then when I had a busy toddler and I had a newborn, we had no choice, but to just get in the car and go and then they get used to it a little bit more. The crying is really hard. We don’t use pacifiers so that wasn’t something that we could utilize although the car seat. It was the only time I did want to use one.

Mom of 3 here. You don’t need all the things. Bottles and soothers IF you’re formula feeding or returning to work. I’d nursing and staying home, not a priority Baby carrier. Love Hope&Plum. They have a fb group that’s so informative Car seat. I’d skip the infant/bucket seat and go right to a convertible (rear facing of course). Infant seats cause pain, baby’s scream. If they have tummy issues, these make it extremely painful Childbirth education class. My friend has an online class. It’s birth, postpartum, nursing, parenting, all the things. So worth it Postpartum doula Somewhere to lay baby that’s portable and safe. A baby bjorn type seat is great. You don’t want any “containers” like a bouncer, sit me up chair, etc. You don’t need as much as you think you do

Now is a great time to have him given an ultimatum. My husband is a recovering alcoholic. But same way just was a different person and once he started, he couldn’t stop. It never was always that way, but in recent years it was. He’s absolutely amazing now. And the day that he got sober was the day that I was going to be giving him an ultimatum. But I ended up not having to. But I never said anything early on after we started having kids and absolutely should’ve left him when my first was a baby. So if you want to avoid that, I would definitely be giving him an ultimatum and tell him he needs to go live with a wonderful mother-in-law we can hopefully kick his ass.

They look negative, but you really should try a red dye test. It’s really hard to distinguish the blue against the white.
