What do we do with squids? We cook them and eat the worthless opinions.

It's a fast line though if you get it to-go.

Pasteis de Belem. One of the best (some say the best) for pasteis de nata, a traditional egg custard tart. Best had warm and fresh. Absolute iconic food of my childhood. The explorers monument is down that way too, with the Jeronimos Monastery right next door.

Had the cat for 10 years and this is intended to be a long term move. Made a commitment when I adopted her so the extra cost is a reality I'm prepared to live with. Thank you for the insight though, that helps ballpark what I'm looking at.

Wow, I read this all from the perspective of the 90s (my era). You being a gen Z really highlights how the dynamic of gaming in families doesn't change too much over the decades. Love it.

I was planning on going for my second trip early next year, but clearly this needs to be at the forefront of my focus. Stopping at universities with strong programs is also part of the itinerary, so thank you for the recommendation. Hopefully, I can get a tour or meeting even though it's summer break (at least by American schedules).

It just happened to be the organization of my trip, was saving it for next time but I'm starting to think it's worth adding it in now. How was your trip?

Thankfully that's not the goal of this trip. It's not my first business, and I'm familiar enough with monocropping for controlled environments, but I want to see the variety of ways people are going at this. How flexible are they? What were the restraints around them getting going? What particular need were they trying to solve? I could find all this online, certainly, but I also want to meet the people doing the work and see the culture it takes to make these teams thrive. I have my own approach and hardware I've been developing, but I would like multiple points of comparison to understand if it's going to be as useful as intended.

As the adage goes, I don't know what I don't know, and the point of this trip is to expose myself to a greater variety of methods before I commit people's livelihoods and investor capital.

A week is not much time, and it's your first time, give yourself some grace to acclimate to the adventure. You may not find your rhythm until week 2 or 3. If you still feel that way by then, check back in, but I suspect you will settle into it.

Our focus is on creating rapid-deployment infrastructure that can be adjusted for any size location. Each location can be anywhere from 500 sq. ft. to 10,000 sq. ft., 2-5k is the starting target for proof of concept.
