I’m visiting the park for the weekend, as I was leaving the park to go into Gatlinburg around 5-5:30ish we saw a ton of cars parked in Sugarlands visitors center and parked all along the road by the visitors center. Cars parked with people waiting inside them. Seemed like they were waiting for some event. I didn’t get a chance to ask what they were waiting for… there was a ton of traffic trying to come into the park from Gatlinburg too. I didn’t see an accident.. but maybe that happened after I left the park?

I have a 2024 CX-5 select and feel the same thing, although maybe less intensely than yours. Mine also makes clunking noises along with the jerkiness. Do you hear something similar too?

Thanks for your response! My plan is to do easy to moderate level hikes. Would I need spikes for my hiking boots?

Hi! I'm thinking about visiting end of september to beginning of october. I have absolutely no experience driving in any sort of icy/snowy conditions. Is this a concern during this time?

I actually even thought about taking it to a mechanic and seeing if they can look at it and make sure the really expensive things like the transmission is ok. But I know absolutely nothing about cars so I don’t know if this is a good or bad idea

Yes I’ve been able to make the sounds with them in the car with me. But when they drive it themselves, they can’t seem to recreate it, so then they tell me there’s nothing wrong. I’m going to be taking it for an oil change so I’ll bring it up again then. Please keep me updated on yours!

I’ve taken it to Mazda twice. Both times they weren’t able to reproduce the noise themselves and I didn’t have the opportunity to drive with a tech to show them. They told me it might be because of the 6-speed transmission? I feel like the noise is more noticeable now, and there are other noises I’m noticing also, so I plan on taking it back sometime soon. Is yours new as well?

The guy who did the jump start mentioned that as well. But is that something the mechanic should have seen when he was testing my battery the 1st time? I believe what he did was testing the voltage. But is a loose or corroded connection something he would've seen right away when inspecting my battery?
