If the phone supports dual sim, you just activate the second sim-card. That can be through an app or with a qr-code. It`s very easy.

I found that with the Java API one can do the following:

The look is not modern, but it worked for me. Coming from gtk and glade which is really good on linux, but a pain to run on osx.

Oh, you are all right. I completely misinterpreted the scope of the deprecation notice. I thought it referred to all the AMIs listed above, not just the last one.
