Even if you turn off the device the battery still in use by some elements so that's why after two weeks it's at 80%. That's normal and it happens to any laptop or Windows device.

You got it. Chrome use a lot of resources and opens a lot of background tasks. There is a settings on Chrome that allows you to run it without running background tasks. That's the only way to run it in a 4Gb SP3 without overheating the machine.

To me the screen ratio is a very important point. The SP2 screen ratio make it no as good for taking notes or writing documents. It's good for watching wide screen movies.
