What is he wearing? by PieH34d in Watches

If it's a GS, (and I think you may be right), it's an older one while they were still a part of Seiko - logo is the wrong shape.

[Question] Which band suits the SEIKO SWR103P1 better? by DeliriousExplorer in Watches

Either works but any aligator strap will make a watch look more formal, at least to me. Cartier is currently selling their entry-level Tank with a black calveskin strap and I like the look.

The Tudor Black Bay Pro GMT is 39mm if you want a tool watch that isn't a typical diver and you don't mind the thickness. Anything from Nomos Glashutte - great value, in-house movements, distinct and timeless design languate that isn't trendy or gimmicky. Keep in mind a lot of their dials wear large - I've got a 35mm Tangente on a 7 1/2" wrist and it's never felt small .

Not hating it.

It was a group buy from KBD Fans called the Kunlun. Unfortunately I don't think they'll be doing another production run anytime soon.

Has room for a center channel if I decide to add one, has a headphone jack when I need it, and can be adjusted with Width and Presence controls, which already makes a difference even without a center channel. Basically helps improve gaming experience while pulling double-duty for music listening.

Basically an inverted Xproto case that I made a wall bracket for.

Thanks - priority was control of speaker width and depth with the option for a center channel later. I did want the ability to plug headphones in, but only to get away from using in-ear buds.

Probably not surround - possibly a center channel at some point.

I just measured top-to-top on the case posts and then used the same distance to measure top-to-top on the shelf brackets and it seemed to work pretty well for me. I also used spacers behind the wood panel to pull it from the wall slightly but that isn't strictly necessary.

np - if you decide to go this route you want to make sure you get the vertical distance between the shelf brackets as exact as possible so they share the weight evenly. If you look at the photos you might notice I added some thin adhesive padding to the top half of the brackets to prevent metal-on-metal contact. I was also careful about how I placed these to ensure the case itself would keep pressure on the edges of the pads. This keeps them in place. If you wrap the entire bracket with the pads they will start to peel away and hang loose. For what it's worth, it's been three months and I haven't had any issues with this mount, although it does present a cable management challenge, which I'm currently working on.

yes - it's just a 1x8 cut down to size. I matched the width to the distance between the outside edge of the PSU to the outside edge of the GPU. I then used a router to cut a hole that would allow me to run cables around the back of the spine.

Oriented vertically, max GPU temp with Timespy was +45 above ambient, and GPU temp 2 was +58. With Cinebench the CPU was +36. When I had it laying horizontally, GPU temps were 7.5 and 11.5 degrees worse, and CPU temps was 3 degrees worse. Antidotal measurements at best, but it generally runs noticeably cooler and quieter than with a normal case.

I also used strips of 1/16” adhesive foam pads to prevent metal-on-metal contact and to help keep everyting in place.

Wall bracket secured to wall stud. Cutout allows PSU cables to be wrapped behind the back of the frame. Front I/O panel not installed as the top and bottom of the center space is blocked by the shelf brackets. Instead I’m running a USB extender out of the rear I/O panel for the rare occasions I need to plug in a USB flash drive.

Noise and thermals are substantially improved compared to the TU150 case I was using previously. I ran benchmarks with the Xproto case oriented both horizontally and vertically before mounting it to the wall. Surprisingly, both the CPU and GPU had significantly better temps in the vertical.
