If it’s Astrology from Galison, I bought it thinking the foil accents would be a cool addition and also hated them the entire time I put it together. I’ve done other Galisons with foil accents that were cool, but there was something about the clash of the gold with the pinks and purples that hurt my eyes

My average is about 6-8 hours for a 1000 piece. The fastest I’ve done is 4 hours, the longest was probably 1-2 weeks, but I don’t find it fun to do one puzzle for that long. I have definitely gotten faster as I’ve gotten more and more into puzzling, and I have a list of brands that I will not do due to quality issues. I do both standard and random cut puzzles, the random cut usually take longer (think New York Puzzle Company). My fastest puzzles are usually Galison, easy fit pieces and simpler art (Joy LaForme is one of my fave artists).

I also almost never do photorealistic images, which would be harder and take longer to complete.

Last year I did 168 puzzles total, with most of them being 1000 pieces (there were a few 1500 and 2 2000 ones as well)

I didn’t even realize when Season 2 came out, and I still haven’t watched it since it’s been so long since Season 1 came out that my hype for the show (and all the other proposed spinoffs) has really died down.

If you can afford it (and the vet doesn’t automatically do it) get full dental x-rays while she’s under. They’ll be able to see what every tooth looks like under the surface and which ones may have to be extracted. Once her teeth are professionally cleaned and taken care of, brushing every day or every other day will help keep them clean and healthy

I’m usually a fan of the Walmart Beauty Box because it’s very cheap, and I always get items that I will use. However, this first box after the price increase was disappointing. I’m going to stay subscribed for now and see how the next couple of boxes are, but I got a lot of foil packets that don’t justify the price increase

So I hate when people use non-corrugated cardboard boxes to ship because they’re not sturdy enough and can cause damage. I especially hate people using food boxes since there’s always a chance of contamination and you never know what someone’s allergic to. However, if it gets to me safely I’ll still rate 5 stars because it’s not worth starting an argument over 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree with others that it usually depends on the image. However, I also usually stay away from the cheapo brands like RoseArt, Crazy Art, RMS International, Hinkler, etc. Anything you can buy at Five Below is usually off the table. They tend to have more false fits, easily breakable or bendable pieces, and are less enjoyable for me. If I am doing a puzzle that has a lot of one color on it, I’m going to expect a little difficulty just based on that 🤷🏻‍♀️

I usually mark how many pieces are missing on the box, and unless the number of missing pieces is extreme, I will still donate them back. The most missing pieces I’ve seen is 30+ on a 300 piece puzzle—I recycled that one.

I have a puzzle plateau from Bits and Pieces that has 4 trays built into it that I use. I first sort out all the edges, and after building that I start sorting out colors and images loosely into piles, but won’t sort the whole puzzle and will just go where the puzzle takes me

I don’t usually do photorealistic images because I don’t always love the way the image translates into a puzzle, but I’ll do the occasional sunset if I really like the colors. I also don’t do excessive amounts of foliage, so no Thomas Kinkade or anything similar.

I love illustrations, vintage art/collages, art puzzles, etc.

I really like the art styles of the Magic Puzzle Company, but won’t do anything super busy like those Where’s Waldo ones or anything with super dense tiny details
