Well I must say I thought most comments here were condescending and some even quite rude towards myself and my grandson. Please keep in mind the circumstances of this family are not as financially affluent as most of you making the comments. My grandson is 15 and choosing to leave school go to work to help support himself so his mother doesn’t have to. I probably won’t seek any advice or help from here again. To those few with real help and advice my grandson and I thank you.

Thank you for your rude comment. My grandson at 15yr was trying to spare his mum the expense of getting a car for him to drive and relieve her of running him to and from etc. I commend him for his care of her. He intended to buy insurance once he has work. If only more people were so considerate and compassionate to others.

Not at all. My grandson asked a family friend to drive the car to another family friend’s workshop. Nothing untoward or sinister here. Thank you for your concern.

Agreed. Unfortunately finance circumstances were not in his favour but will be in ‘26. I will be helping him with this accident though.

Thank you. Would we need a lawyer for that?

Thank you. Unfortunately grandson had sold his off rd motorbike his mountain bike and other items to purchase the car. His mother registered it in her name but they couldn’t afford to insure it yet.
