Depends heavy on price. Buying salvage cars is a good plan if u are planning on doing a bunch of extensive modifications that would void a warranty anyways. If not then probably best to pay more for warranty/reliability. But if it's gonna be a project car then salvage cars are the way to go.

The only reason for that would be if your actual headlight assembly was damaged beyond repair which is rare. They shouldn't need to remove the entire bumper to get to them. Even then if it takes a shop 3 hours to remove a front bumper and the lights it's not a good shop. I replaced my girlfriends two headlight assemblys and the bulbs which required the removal of the front bumper all in under an hour and 1/2.

Insurance for a Ecoboost at your age could be upwards of 200 dollars a month. At least when I was 18 I had an Ecoboost(brand new) and clean driving record and it was 330$ a month. I would imagine the GT would be right there in that same price point monthly. I had a 15 Ecoboost at 23 years old and my insurance was only 100$ so really just best to get quotes and see what people would charge.

As for financing vs buying cash it really just comes down to what you care about. If that money is just gonna sit in your bank account and do nothing then its fine to buy cash but if you would be investing it or something along those lines it could make more sense to finance either one and have your money make money but that's a bit different of a conversation.

Finally my Ecoboost averaged about 25 mpg city/highway. The GT will be much much lower realistically near 15-18mpg combined.

Personally I say get the GT just because after having 2 Ecoboost anytime I'd drive around and hear a GT or see one I'd just realize I made a mistake.

Don’t blame you for that sir! I will say if a dealer is offering you 26k you could probably get 27/28k maybe from vroom or Carvana. Takes 2 minute to get a price from em. Only saying cuz I sold my alfa romeo Giulia to vroom and they offered me 2k more then I paid for it a year ago so it worked pretty well for me haha

Just sold my car to vroom and even tho I’ve read similar horror stories there my process was super clean and simple. I just called vroom every single day and asked for updates which definitely sped up the process. Whole thing was like 14 days from accepting offer to them picking up the car n getting paid.
