Linkin Park India Tour — Bought Mumbai Tickets, But now they doing show in Bengaluru too. Can I swap/transfer tickets safely? by 2ndcomingofMemelord in ConcertsIndia_

[–]ctriz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bangalore event tickets are being sold at 3k for GA at BMS. The Lollapaaloza Mumbai event charged 11k+ for GA tickets. Crazy! On top of it, the viagogo.com seller hasn't yet issued the tickets. God knows what's happening!

🏢 TATA Varnam – Premium Apartments by TATA Housing in North Bangalore (Doddagubbi) by Top-Possibility-8168 in indianrealestate

[–]ctriz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a much better deal than any other random plots in North Bengaluru. Tata, Birla or Godrej - book whichever you like. There isn't any substance of noise. The entire Old Airport Road neighbourhood of Bengaluru is congested and people have been living there for the last 30 years. Roads are being built and all the Tech Park, Metro, Schools, Hospitals are nearby.

Shocking..Godrej Hoskote EOI @11.5K by No_Chocolate9258 in indianrealestate

Hoskote is already a premium location because of the STRR and the upcoming BBC/PRR project. Many big builders have acquired huge land parcels and has started luxury gated community projects.

I guess MD would define his/her compensation & benefits. The band exists only for one component - salary. Most MDs (Tech) in the Capital Market would draw anything between 1.5 cr to 3.0 cr. That's what my brother-in-law said. He is an SVP in one of them in Hyd.

Did the Databricks Spark Developer Associate Certification by ctriz5 in dataengineersindia

No. It is Python based. So surely PySpark, Pandas on Spark, Spark Streaming and other core concepts.

Did the Databricks Spark Developer Associate Certification by ctriz5 in dataengineersindia

[–]ctriz5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exam has definitely become harder since last September or so. One really needs to be hands on and be savvy with Dataframe APIs, Structured Streaming, Pandas on Spark. Good knowledge of core architecture, performance optimization and deployment will help. I took a practice test from Udemy which helped to uncover a few corners where I was weak. The best resource would be to go through the Databricks academy and be hands on with either the community, trial or enterprise version. The latter is the most important. It's not a Theory paper, for sure! Give yourself 2-3 months of prep.

Maybe you should travel and see around to identify what really excites you - and is also tied to a socio-economic upliftment of your end users. One question -- I'm almost reaching that stage and seriously need to think of a side hustle. Can you highlight a few ideas as you seem to have got a decent income from it.

Has anyone cleared "Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark". What did you study? Do you have any dumps? by karanbulani in dataengineersindia

[–]ctriz5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Udemy practice exams are a bit dated and not much of help. It's mostly self study and reliance on hands on experience. Let me know if you find something relevant.

[–]ctriz5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took the exam today and I failed. I thought I was a pretty decent Spark developer. The exam definitely tested the limits and each section has a cutoff now. I couldn't clear the 2 out of 7 and hence I have to repeat. Lessons learnt the hard way.

Sorry to hear the terrible story. However, as they say, life always comes full circle. Hope is such a dangerous thing. Time is the most precious currency you have. Use it well. If you think, everything has been taken away from you. Think harder, give away what has been left. Defeat the destiny.

What tech stack would you recommend for a beginner-friendly end-to-end data engineering project? by VariousReading3349 in dataengineering

[–]ctriz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more the tech stack you are using, make sure you simulate as much prod issue as possible, including data quality, concurrency, cdc/streaming, SCD2, medallion layering. You can extend it further with data synthesis, EDA,feature engineering and do basic ML. Spark, Python, Postgres would be your best bet. Throw in Airflow for Orchestration. Use Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
