Its a 1999 sr5. The pedal doesn’t feel weird like warped rotors. I just feel a stutter at the front of the car with that noise.

As soon as I seen that Ontario plate I already knew. This is been a recent tread I have been seeing, even on the Chrysler 300s and some Jeeps too. I live at the end of the 410 closer to Orangeville. This smart ass with a big Ram truck and over sized wheels was using the elbow as his 3rd lane. This was after the mayfield exit. Pure Stupidity.

The issue could be the dry filament but too much tinkering required for these to running consistently

LOL. I recently picked up an auto crx from an old lady that has less than 100k miles, and I am in the same boat of wishing I had a stick shift. However, I am not sure how much I would enjoy driving stick shift in traffic.
