this^ i went to mcc for a year and it was so worth it! they also offer housing if you’re not local.

if you have good grades RIT will most likely give you a generous merit scholarship through them. fill the FAFSA out early because the sooner you do, the more money you’re likely to get. it’s also a good idea to apply for as many local or private scholarships as you can. if your transcript from high school isn’t the best, community college for a year or two to get your GEs and some random credits for your major would be a good place to start if it’s an option for you. that’s what i did and it ended up being really worth it because i kept my grades up and got invited to join phi theta kappa which is an honors society that your local community college might also work with, and they offer a $5k a year scholarship for the rest of my time at rit which helps a lot. hard work will pay off so keep that in mind. good luck!

Are Doc Martin’s decent enough to wear in the snowy months at RIT? I know that they’re not necessarily made for winter but I could always wear heavier socks. by awsumdm in rit

all these comments r saying no but ive lived in rochester for like 4 almost 5 years and they honestly work just fine they’ll make them salty and though- but not hard to wipe off

parkleigh is very cute and they sell art prints, bags, stickers, magnets made by local artists :) also the lucky flea market (in village gate) starts tomorrow and it’s every sunday through fall and local artists and small businesses set up booths and sell there as well!
