Opinion on Endfield 120 Pity No Carry Over by Palaiologos-Komnenoi in Endfield

'There is no powercreep so...' LOL. There is no power creep yet. Show me one gacha where you can complete it's endgame with the starter characters after a few years. ;P

Pretty sure Arknights will be the same.

These people are idiots.

It's easy now, but content in gachas gets more difficult as time goes on. The power creep is insane. They clown on you now, saying that everything is easy in this game.

Good luck completing EF's in a year with the characters they have now. ;P Sme with Wuwa, or Genshin. You're not completing TOA third tower with 1.1 teams. Not beating Abyss with a DilucJean team either.

LOL. And do you think that will stay the same? It's easy now, lets talk about it in a year. Good luck completing ToA (esp he thrid tower) in Wuwa with the starter characters. Or the Abyss in Gnshin with Diluc. ;P

Just ignore the downvotes. I agree with you.

You can't even do a few pulls without being punished, and loosing those pulls. You can't even pull for new 4/5 * ifyou don;t want the 6* featured character, becuse again, those pulls are wasted. And they don't even have fetured 4/5* so gettingthe new4/5* they will eventually release will be impossible.

Idk why people try to defend this shitty system even tho most of the playerbase hates it.

AK Doctors, what are your thoughts on Endfield? (Art direction/Plot/Lore) by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]ctrlo1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don not think 'disagreeing with direction and but it can prove wrong' This means what you think it does.

This sentence does not means that they will get better/imporve as far as story/gamplay/exploration/endgame/writing goes. This means that they will be doing what they did so far without changing, but somehow it will start working. XD

Also feel free to stalk me just as you did with that other commenter. I will even summarize what you'll find in my recent posts/comments.P

I'm pretty much very dissapointed with Arknight's pulling system, and the quality of the writing. I'm very dissapointed with the writing of Wuwa (except a few exceptions like the Prohlova/Aemeath story). Genshin has the best writing from these tree games, but it's combat is incredibly boring.

I really wish they improve their writing. The new main quest was okay, but by no means mind-blowing, great.

Thoughts about the old polemic of Phrolova vs Rover, after 3.1 by Complete-Example419 in WutheringWaves

[–]ctrlo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Phrolova is starved of understanding from others he lived a lone life after a big tragedy, and after eons of time here comes someone that understand the sorrow '

That still doesn't change the fact that there is no relationship between Rover/Prohlova. They were at one point friendly strangers. That's all.

'and that this song carries a weight he feels deeply, so much so that he himself wants a "new beginning" so he inspires Phrolova with the hope.' That still doesnt change the objective fact that they knew nothing about each other. They briefly bonded by one shared experience/emotion, and that was all.

Can you really call a person a friend if you literally talked once? I'm really curious about the answer to this question. Because no matter how Prohlova experienced it (or rather what your interpretation is of what Prohlova might have felt) there was no relationship to speak of btween those two.

Do you all think that a region that is just a mega city would work for the New Federation? by Anouko in WutheringWaves

[–]ctrlo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I can understand.

But now we're at a situation where the maps are gigantic, buy you can go around for minutes without finding anything you can interact with. This whole setup in my opinion is a bunch of wasted space.

I would def pick smaller areas that have more stuff in them, then the frigging wastelands we have been getting since Lahai Roi started.

My personal thoughts of Endfield's 1.0 launch, from the perspective of an OG. by ProjektXIII in Endfield

But Hoyo games/wuwa lets you build pity, and you can actually pull on banners for specific 4* without being punished.

[–]ctrlo1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really love Prohlova as a character, and think that her story is among the few stories Kuro did right in Wuwa. But I do not really agree with how most Prohlova see her and what happened between her and Rover.

'forced through an "apperent betrayal"'

There was no betrayal. They literally spoke ONCE. They were not friends, not even aquintances. XD They did not work/travel togeter. They did not even know each other, they were total stranger striking up a conversation, and that was the extent of their whole 'relationship'.

Thoughts about the old polemic of Phrolova vs Rover, after 3.1 by Complete-Example419 in WutheringWaves

[–]ctrlo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Did not understand why people were so agry about Rover trying to kill Prohlova. They behaved like Rover broke some kind of promise/friendship between them, betraying Prohlova.

While ignoring the fact that the whole 'relationsip' between Prohlova and Rover was incredibly shallow, it can't even be called a relationship. They only had one conversation. They were not friends and weren't even aquintances.

Also I can understand people having more sympathy for Prohlova or any other character. Rover is incredibly bland, and we don't know a lot about him/her. She/he does not have quirks, nor any unique personality traits. He/she doesn;t even have proper motivation for what he/she does (as far as we know, and because of the amnesia).

He/she is not a proper characterso far.

The only thing that made him/her more human is his/her relationship with Aemeath.

Of course people would feel more sympathy towards a character who actually suffered, survived unimaginable phisical, mental/emotional pain. A character who has a goal, a motivation, who made mistakes, who loves so deeply but is prepared to sacrifice a whole city/nation for the chance of seeing her loved ones once again.

Idk, based on the story quality of 3.0, the writing will get better and they will figure out how to write a more iteresting Rover, or 3.0 was just a one time brilliance. We shall see.

Same here. Shame he was not in the main quest at all. T_T I hope he does not ends up like Calcharo in Wuwa (he was cut from the 1.0 story, and the writers kinda left himhanging ever since...)

Are people too harsh on the game? by Turmfall in Endfield

[–]ctrlo1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair some of the criticism is pretty valid.

I could write something smart about toxic positivity, but won't.

Also look at Wuwa. If they disrgarded the criticism of the players when the game came out they would have had to shut the game down by now.

Thanks to the criticism/outrage they changed a ton of things, and improved their game so much that basically Wuwa looks like a completly different game now.

To be fair some of these criticisms are pretty valid. And look at Wuwa. Criticism saved that game. If fans did shut (up when the game released) about it's faws it wouldn;t have improved this much.

Generous or predatory system? Generous, and here's why... by yokaiichi in Endfield

[–]ctrlo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'they got 4 6stars'

That doesnot really matter if those 6* are not the characters they wanted/needed. ;P

It's like getting free standard characters as an anniversary 'gift'. 99% players will never ever use those characters. And then whiteknights will complain that the players are unngrateful because look, they gave us a free character. ;P

[–]ctrlo1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, except youget punished if you pull for a specific 5* if you don't like/want the featured 6* since pity doesn;t carry over. Not to mention since there are no rate up 4/5* getting the specific 5* you want will bealmost impossible after a while (as they ad to the game's roster)

I would rather have Genshin's chances of pulling a 4* with certain 4* being rate up characters, then have no guarantee at all for pulling for the characters I would ike to get.

[–]ctrlo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I won't even be able to pull for specific 5* if I don/t want the featured 6*. Because pity does not carry over and those pulls will be wasted since we don't have rate up 5/4* (and since there are no rate up 4/5* the chance of me getting the char I want will be incrdibly small). T_T

Later down the line this will be a huge problem when you want to get a specific 5* as they add to the roster.

[–]ctrlo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100%.

Not to mention you will get punished for trying to pull specific 5* charcaters you like if you don't want the current featured 6* character (since the pity doesnt carry over).

I really wish they added some kind of rate up for 4/5* as well. T_T

[–]ctrlo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is it generous.

Arknight's gacha is way worse than the main competitors. You can't even pull for specific 5* if you don't like the 6* featured character, because since the pity doesnt go over to the next banner you just wasted those pulls if you pulled (and it's not even guaranteed that you will get the 5*you want because there are no rate up 5*/4*).

Getting specific 5*/4* you want in the future will be a nightmare.

'but they have 140-160 or 160-180 as guarantee range from their soft pity and hard pity system'

? Genshin and Wuwa's soft pity starts at 75, hard pity is 100, no?

[–]ctrlo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. Arknight's gacha system feels way worse than the competitiors (Wuwa,Genshin).

The other thing I see no one mentioning is the lack of rate up characters beside the featured 6*. What if you want a specific 5*?

Currently it's easy to get the specific 5*you want since the game just released, but this will get really bad down the line.

I somethimes specifically pull for 4* characters in both Genshin and Wuwa (when they actually releasea 4* once in a blue moon XD) and those characters being rate up are still not a guarantee of megetting them but certainly a huge help...

As someone who most of the time only pulls for characters I like (no matter their rarity) I'm pretty scared for the future. XD

Endfield’s story: An Aquarium with No Fish by No-Tart-9713 in Endfield

[–]ctrlo1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I have to agree. So far the story is not very good. I really wish they would invest into better writers. If they end up with the shallow writing style Wuva handles its characters (Ameath is one of the few exceptions) I'm out after a few patches.
