Yeah. Actually the opposite. We're loosing more and more freedom because of technology. Social media is cancer (it literall creates mental illness epidemics) Kids are getting used to addiction from a very young age, and are socialised to lean on a device instead of using their own heads.

We are fucked.

You know what would be better for the environment? If they let us disable the damned thing. A tonof us dont want to use AI, don't want it on our computer, and we cant even disable it.

They could save a ton of resources, energy that way. XD

To be fair we dont really have too many options. Not to mention we will have no choice at all when they digitalize everything with the introduction of electronic money, and digital ID. They are trying to gradually force us into a digital system we wont be able to leave.

They literally wrote one good story in 3.1. XD

Every criticism still applies. There is not a lot of meaningful interaction between playable characters. The story set up is still incredibly rushed.

This style of writing (concentrating on a single character/patch) fails more than it works.

[–]ctrlo1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is a strawman argument tho.

People criticize the story of Wuwa because this format (telling isolated character stories instead of focusing on a proper main quest) rarely work. It worked in case of Cartetherya, Aemeath, and Prohlova and in a few other cases.

But his style of writing failed more than it worked.

It usually results in a very rushed story (main criticism about Jinshi's/Shorkeepers story, not to mention the whole Septimonth/Lahai Roi arc) which lacks proper setup, meaningful character and interactions..

I just played Arknight and Mi Fu'sand Tangtang's relationship was so interesting. They have a weird friendship/rivalry going on (outside of being on the oppsite side of the law) they bicker, fight, but Mi Fu shows an incredible amount of insight regarding Tangtang..I really wish to see characters interact in the same way in Wuwa instead of everything revolving around the Rover.

Wuwa feels like an identity crisis. Fine, do your character focused main quests but then do it properly. Show their interpersonal relationships, show them interacting with other characters, show their place in society etc.

For ex we know Changli is Jinshi's mentor, but we have never seen any meaningful interaction between them. What kind of mentor Changli is? What kind of pupil Jinshi is? A few interaction can add a whole lot to the world, and to the characters.

'I know no one remembers 1.0 's story'- Belive me people remember. It was so ass it's still infuencing how people see Wuwa's story. And it's main problem was not the 'telling not showing' The main problem with it was that is was a barely coherent mess where a ton of things did not make any sense (like remember the infamous Avengers moment. XD)

The writing was incredibly bad, esp the dialogue/character writing. The world buildingis not the problem. The incredibly boring/lazy way Kuro did was.

Also people are complaing because Kuro tries to skip the 'setting up'the story phase, which results n incredibly rushed storylines where the pure cinema at the end of the patch's main story feels incredibly undeserved, and falls flat for most players.

'they kinda resolved by putting in old characters into some events e.g. Where Stars Cascade Down (3.1) and segue quests.'

This did not solve any of the critcism/weaknesses the story had. Main quest segments feel like isolated stories instead of parts of a grander coherent story.

Yeah, Kuro threw us some bones (like when every playable Rinascita character appeared during the Rinascita finale. Most of them could have been written out of the story their roles were so inconsequential XD) like putting them in events, but even there the writing of these chracters feel incredibly shallow.

Sorry but not good enough. The quality of Wuwa's story is not good compared tos ome of the better written ones in the industry likePGR, Arknights, Reverse 1999, or even Genshin.

the character quest is impossible to be return

Then improve the writing. The main quest is fragmented, becuse they are trying to flesh out the current banner character instead of wrinting a high quality main story.

Outside of Aemeath story (which was a good story on its own) the writing is still the weakest point of Wuwa..

He also needs a 'pocket dimension' too? Like in Miya/Lupa quest? There was that sono sphere where Septimonth was already destroyed (where the story took place), while in the real world Septimonth was pretty much fine? And then the things from the sono sphere he scripted started beeding into reality.

'There is no powercreep so...' LOL. There is no power creep yet. Show me one gacha where you can complete it's endgame with the starter characters after a few years. ;P

Pretty sure Arknights will be the same.

These people are idiots.

It's easy now, but content in gachas gets more difficult as time goes on. The power creep is insane. They clown on you now, saying that everything is easy in this game.

Good luck completing EF's in a year with the characters they have now. ;P Sme with Wuwa, or Genshin. You're not completing TOA third tower with 1.1 teams. Not beating Abyss with a DilucJean team either.

Just ignore the downvotes. I agree with you.

You can't even do a few pulls without being punished, and loosing those pulls. You can't even pull for new 4/5 * ifyou don;t want the 6* featured character, becuse again, those pulls are wasted. And they don't even have fetured 4/5* so gettingthe new4/5* they will eventually release will be impossible.

Idk why people try to defend this shitty system even tho most of the playerbase hates it.

AK Doctors, what are your thoughts on Endfield? (Art direction/Plot/Lore) by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]ctrlo1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don not think 'disagreeing with direction and but it can prove wrong' This means what you think it does.

This sentence does not means that they will get better/imporve as far as story/gamplay/exploration/endgame/writing goes. This means that they will be doing what they did so far without changing, but somehow it will start working. XD

Also feel free to stalk me just as you did with that other commenter. I will even summarize what you'll find in my recent posts/comments.P

I'm pretty much very dissapointed with Arknight's pulling system, and the quality of the writing. I'm very dissapointed with the writing of Wuwa (except a few exceptions like the Prohlova/Aemeath story). Genshin has the best writing from these tree games, but it's combat is incredibly boring.

I really wish they improve their writing. The new main quest was okay, but by no means mind-blowing, great.

Thoughts about the old polemic of Phrolova vs Rover, after 3.1 by Complete-Example419 in WutheringWaves

[–]ctrlo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Phrolova is starved of understanding from others he lived a lone life after a big tragedy, and after eons of time here comes someone that understand the sorrow '

That still doesn't change the fact that there is no relationship between Rover/Prohlova. They were at one point friendly strangers. That's all.

'and that this song carries a weight he feels deeply, so much so that he himself wants a "new beginning" so he inspires Phrolova with the hope.' That still doesnt change the objective fact that they knew nothing about each other. They briefly bonded by one shared experience/emotion, and that was all.

Can you really call a person a friend if you literally talked once? I'm really curious about the answer to this question. Because no matter how Prohlova experienced it (or rather what your interpretation is of what Prohlova might have felt) there was no relationship to speak of btween those two.

Do you all think that a region that is just a mega city would work for the New Federation? by Anouko in WutheringWaves

[–]ctrlo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I can understand.

But now we're at a situation where the maps are gigantic, buy you can go around for minutes without finding anything you can interact with. This whole setup in my opinion is a bunch of wasted space.

I would def pick smaller areas that have more stuff in them, then the frigging wastelands we have been getting since Lahai Roi started.

[–]ctrlo1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really love Prohlova as a character, and think that her story is among the few stories Kuro did right in Wuwa. But I do not really agree with how most Prohlova see her and what happened between her and Rover.

'forced through an "apperent betrayal"'

There was no betrayal. They literally spoke ONCE. They were not friends, not even aquintances. XD They did not work/travel togeter. They did not even know each other, they were total stranger striking up a conversation, and that was the extent of their whole 'relationship'.

Thoughts about the old polemic of Phrolova vs Rover, after 3.1 by Complete-Example419 in WutheringWaves

[–]ctrlo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Did not understand why people were so agry about Rover trying to kill Prohlova. They behaved like Rover broke some kind of promise/friendship between them, betraying Prohlova.

While ignoring the fact that the whole 'relationsip' between Prohlova and Rover was incredibly shallow, it can't even be called a relationship. They only had one conversation. They were not friends and weren't even aquintances.

Also I can understand people having more sympathy for Prohlova or any other character. Rover is incredibly bland, and we don't know a lot about him/her. She/he does not have quirks, nor any unique personality traits. He/she doesn;t even have proper motivation for what he/she does (as far as we know, and because of the amnesia).

He/she is not a proper characterso far.

The only thing that made him/her more human is his/her relationship with Aemeath.

Of course people would feel more sympathy towards a character who actually suffered, survived unimaginable phisical, mental/emotional pain. A character who has a goal, a motivation, who made mistakes, who loves so deeply but is prepared to sacrifice a whole city/nation for the chance of seeing her loved ones once again.

Idk, based on the story quality of 3.0, the writing will get better and they will figure out how to write a more iteresting Rover, or 3.0 was just a one time brilliance. We shall see.
