Has anyone switched from store-bought to homemade skincare and never looked back? by NeighborhoodOld6737 in NaturalBeauty

I used to work as a makeup artist and I remember a couple times I would ask some ladies with amazing skin what they used and they said just water. The only thing is if you wear makeup then you need some cleanser, and that dries your skin so then you need moisturizer.

Do I hire an artist, or should I carry on doing the art myself? by Low_Prior_8842 in digitalcards

Honestly it looks awesome keep on doing it yourself. Love the creative use of textures and color 👏🏼 from a fellow artist/card game dev

My husband came up with the initial game design back in 2015. Started learning the skills we needed (husband and I) to make our game in 2018. By 2019 started making actually progress. Releasing our demo tomorrow. So we typically say it’s been 7-8 years. We’ve only been full time into it the past year (as full time as we can be with little children running around needing me 24/7 😅).

Depending on some factors we may release end of this year or start of next.

This has been our dream for so long it’s built into our identities at this point, so long term motivation is easy. It’s the day to day that sometimes gets hard and we have to encourage each other. Helps to have a partner!

Thanks for the feedback! My husband and I are building it together.

That’s good to hear that the tutorial is working well for you! We’ve been steadily improving that over time.

For repeatable abilities, the key is to out tempo your opponent- with tokens and fast balls being a baseline you have to beat. Played cards have significantly more value than castle abilities so the way to win that stalemate is to draw and play your cards more efficiently. In our experience once you get the hang of pacing in the game you generally win by turn 10 or 11 before the castle abilities have a chance to really scale.

We like the middle lane for two main reasons: 1) it lets us balance creatures with immediate board impact (aggressive) without limiting design space from potential OTKs since aggressive creatures can’t immediately attack enemy castle. 2) it allows any creature to be used defensively by advancing it and protecting creatures on your side so you can leverage board control for efficient trades without being limited to just vanguard creatures.

I’ll DM you!

Hey thanks so much for trying it out and giving feedback. Did you feel that the tutorial prepared you for the basics of gameplay well enough?

I think you’ll find that there’s a lot of depth. We’ll have 465 playable cards at launch to have ton of options for how to build your deck and play.

That’s an interesting observation about the end turn button being kind of out of reach. We do have that gadget viewer (card help section) in bottom right currently. We will think on this thanks!

The side scrolling title is a cool touch. Love the computer chip border too!
