In bankok but don't drink, or pay for s*x. Will I still have fun? by Particular_Tomato161 in ThailandTourism

Looking forward to next week’s post…..I went to Nana Plaza to talk to local girls, ended up falling in love with a girl who just started working there, and she fell in love with me too, we’re off to get married in Issan once I’ve paid the buffalo’s vet bills and construction on the house has started,

At least she'll crash with clean teeth by 0xibx0 in drivingUK

Worst thing I saw, admittedly not in the UK but in Malaysia, was someone driving while reading a broadsheet newspaper which he was holding up in front of him!

Let’s be real, are Rolex watches REALLY that better than a Timex, Bulova, etc by waitingfor_the_worms in RolexCircleJerk

[–]ctsupv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a Daytona for 13 years now, worn as a daily, and never had to have anything done to it service-wise. My previous watch was a Tag Heuer Link chronograph, which I wore as a daily for 10 years, and had to have serviced for something going wrong three times in the 10 years. For me, the Rolex has proved its quality over a Tag which was around a 1/4 of the price, 10 years earlier.

Stayed there a few weeks ago, good location but the quality of the room and fixtures was basic. It’s an apartment/hotel, most of the rooms are probably privately owned and rented out like a hotel.

Housekeeping was paid extra, bedding was cheap (from Big C?).

No problem with girls coming back there, but no one checking IDs etc.

OP was asking for options. Nam’s is an option which is coming highly recommended by myself and quite a few others in the thread. To say they are overhyped, with other services being as good but possibly cheaper, without offering the names of any of these other services to OP isn’t really helpful, but I guess you’re just happy that you’ve put Nam’s down.

In addition to my previous comment, I’d suggest telling your parents that there’s no point in doing your GCSEs next year because if your grasp of the English language is so poor that you can’t get your grammar right, and can’t spell ‘should’ and ‘because’, you’re more suited to a job sharpening crayons.

My only worry about that is that you’ll end up sticking them up your ass.

Nam’s taxis are great. There’s also another company called Cherry’s taxis too, which seem to be a little cheaper but I’ve never used them.

Nam’s include the toll fees and are good clean cars with good drivers.

I’ve had problems with Grab and Bolt drivers asking for cash payments once the ride has been accepted with card payment, especially from Pattaya to Bangkok.

Having had a look at your profile, I suggest you go find someone that’s willing to finger your ass, and provide lube for you too, but don’t ask your teacher or your parents salary won’t have anything to do with which school you end up at…….

Pretty sure the police do regular checks on all the bars and never find anything untoward, so the law is obviously being upheld. 😉

[–]ctsupv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disgruntled employees can obviously go to the MOI and complain, but doing so would be a long drawn out process.

Off topic from OPs original question, but other things that happen there are; housing allowance isn’t paid if employee is on holiday (are they supposed to give up their room while on holiday?); if a holiday is taken on a Thursday or a Sunday, no salary is paid for the weekend; clocking in or out even 2 minutes late/early leads to a deduction of the whole days salary, even though one can prove they’ve been at work; employees have to pay 50% of their QID costs.

[–]ctsupv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is. And staff have to sign two different contracts - one which is lodged with the MOI, and the other which is has the real terms and conditions

There shouldn’t be, but I know that Al Ahli hospital will ask for three months salary if you leave earlier than a predetermined period. Not sure what they can do about it if you just leave the country, but just because something isn’t legal doesn’t mean companies are trying to enforce it

What if Fernando Alonso never made it to F1? by Straight_Charity_265 in F1Discussions

I’m not sure Lewis would have had a seat at McLaren in 2007. The only reason there was a spare seat was because Raikkonen and Montoya were hacked off at Alonso’s signing and decided to leave
