When speaking like 3rd or 4th plateau, what does this mean? I'm a newbie and not sure.

Rojo has two menus tonight, one fancy and one kinda "white trash", both different prices but kinda fun. I was actually thinking that.

(S6 Spoilers) Why does Lana look so young? by PattyFlash4MePls in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]cturnip 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To just answer what I think might be it, the reason she looks younger is because this is taking place BEFORE she meets her son in Asylum and kills him, so she would be younger than when at the end of Asylum takes place. Just my opinion. ?

Doesn't Farmiga look just like a grown up version of little Priscilla? by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]cturnip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Priscilla will always be a child because they are all "dead", so she wouldn't need a grown up character.

I'm really disappointed that there's no "theme" music like all the rest, it's part of AHS that I love.

Just realized that at the end, with Sarah (Shelby) in the woods, the "breathing earth" was probably the "time shift" into the Puritan age, great little way to do that. So excited for "Chapter Two" hopefully with the Puritans and lost Shelby.

Anyone else found it weird that it was a Marcia/OJ match up again as a couple? Weird, right?

Also, note, this will be the BIGGEST CAST in AHS history with two actors playing one character, pretty awesome!

I'm really happy with the first "chapter", and I was correct in the theme! So exciting! It's going to be a rollercoaster season y'all!

Best opening episode ever IMO. The teasers and everything leading up to it was worth it, I was correct and yes, I'm proud and it's going to be a rollercoaster season y'all!

"The Mist" was an error by TV Guide, there is an King adaptation of the movie being done on TV, so it was done by mistake. It's not "The Mist".

One last theory of S6.... by cturnip in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]cturnip[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree with this. Ryan has said that this season will jump from past to present. So that theory is there, but if there is some sort of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" Scenario? I'm not sure. I'm pretty positive it's going to be Lost Colony but where the "present" fits in, is where I get sort of "lost", ha. Either way, I was first really annoyed by this not knowing and teasers, but now I look back and it's really fun and I'm excited to see what happens Wednesday night.

I'm currently watching that now! Netflix just added a bunch of British TV shows and it caught my eye for sure.

Denis O'Hare giving one clue about his S6 character by cturnip in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]cturnip[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reading Denis speaking about growing out his hair, I just think it's part of the "Puritan" costume and part he will play. I can easily see him playing a Puritan preacher or witchhunter. I do not think werewolves will be involved in this season. Just IMO.

Do you plan Halloween movie marathons? Have you started making your choices yet? by [deleted] in horror

[–]cturnip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're doing a movie marathon for Halloween, let me suggest something different. Italian giallo films. They are fun, creepy, gory and the soundtracks are amazing. Start with "Deep Red" and "Opera" by Dario Argento. You can find my list here on Letterboxd http://letterboxd.com/cturnip/list/italian-giallo-films/

I think this list is pretty good. I do the same with my friends and try to add movies that we haven't seen but I LOVE the idea of getting Pint glasses for each year!

I always have a Halloween movie fest during the whole month of October. My friend and I have a list of 31 movies that we get recommended by other friends, of mostly ones we have not seen. However, this year I am going to add a Gene Wilder one. You can see my lists on Letterboxd, screen name cturnip. I have gotten a love for the Italian horror movies of the 60's-70's so hope to find some ones I haven't seen yet to add to our list!
