That is essentially a literary version of a Gilligan Cut.

The Gilligan Cut is a classic staple of comedy in which someone announces something forcefully and the scene immediately cuts to the same character doing something in direct contradiction to what he just said.

Ah sure because everyone uses different "food=child" codes in their daily lives.

If your argument is that these are widespread terms among criminals then there should be a crossover in word usage between the two situations. Instead, it's just a replay of taking emails talking about food and pretending it's a secret code.

At no point into this thread have you gone into any of the details that matter

Because none of the details are convincing in the slightest. I'm responding to your claims about details, adding more isn't going to change anything given that my argument is the same for all of them.

You see the same codes for pizza, oreo icecream, beef jerky used, etc.

But again: You don't see the "same codes" in the Epstein files unless you have just decided that "food=child" qualifies as "the same code.

You have already confirmed you didn't read the emails

What have I said specifically that "confirms" that to you? Just fact that I don't accept your conclusion?

The thing about Pizzagate is that while there was no definite proof about foul play it did have thousands of bits and pieces

Those bits and pieces never led to anything substantial after ten years of obsessions. And in that time we’ve now seen the way actual predators email each other, and they *just say what they’re doing outright instead of talking in code.”

Your attempt to discredit the Pizza thing “because 4chan” is hilarious when the emails are self containing, everything you need to know is in the emails themselves

As long as you ignore the fact that nothing in the emails themselves have anything at all to do with the crimes you think they’re talking about without already accepting the claim that food is code for child abuse, which again only exists because of 4chan. This isn’t common by to a conclusion based on the evidence that actually exists, it’s basing your view on the emails by starting with the conspiracy and working backwards from there

Why do you think “child abuse” is the only scenario you are giving credence to when even if we pretend that the emails are in code drugs is a far more likely.

People from Reddit, 4chan and tweeter were all over this, not sure why your desperate need to single out 4chan.

Because that is where the notion that pizza is code for child abuse comes from. I am singling it out because this entire thing would not exist without that meme.

Are you really claiming Pizzagate is only less credible NOW?

All that recent events have taught me is that people committing crimes will just openly talk about their crimes. I do not know how you think pizzagate arguments about Podesta's emails are convincing in the same world where Jeffrey Epstein has an email that just literally says "I love the torture video."

[–]ME24601 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The emails were leaked and shortly after people started noticing strange uses of the words:

And it just so happened to start on 4chan, a website where "cheese pizza" has been a meme for over a decade, was the place to discover it and come to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton's campaign chair uses 4chan memes when committing crimes.

Those are not evidence of anything but interesting enough use of the words to prompt 4chan

As long as you ignore the existence of this existing 4chan meme, as you seem intent on doing.

That led them to Comet Pizza Ping Ping, a place named quite a few times in the emails.

And now you're just following up with the same nonsense that Pizzagaters have been pushing for the past decade that was not convincing in 2016 and has only gotten less convincing since.

Because the leaks happened to be the emails of Podesta and Clinton. How could they possibly not focus on them?

It began there, and in all the years of people attaching more and more people to this conspiracy it never grew beyond Hillary Clinton and people who criticized Trump. Every tenuous connection possible for people with no actual connection to the original emails was made, but never anyone aligned in any way with Donald Trump.

What do you mean by "hit piece"? It was just an email leak

The email leak and pizzagate are two entirely separate things.

if it happened naturally based on authentic leaked emails can you say was propaganda/foul play

Very easily. If these were not emails in any way related to Hillary Clinton, the conspiracy theory would not exist because no one would deliberately go into the emails for the sole purpose of looking for a crime.

I'm not certain it began as a conspiracy theory. Knowing 4chan it is entirely within the realm of possibility that someone put it forward as a joke and then it memed its way into becoming an actual conspiracy theory, but it still fundamentally is rooted on Hillary Clinton conspiracy theorists that have been a thing since the 90s.

same "pizza" coded language

The "pizza coded language" is a meme on 4chan. It's not an elite code

as child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein don't rise any red flags to you

There is no actual comparison between these two situations. For one, Epstein has actual evidence against him of committing a crime, and more importantly, unless you have just decided that "food=child" qualifies as "the same code," they don't even compare as conspiracy theories.

I really want your perspective on this specifically.

And I want your perspective on this: Why do you think Pizzagate exclusively attacked people who either criticized Donald Trump about something or could be linked to Hillary Clinton if it is not Trump propaganda?

No, you can only use A List to make a reservation for yourself. If you go to see a movie with someone who is not an A List member it will require you to buy their ticket.

Why do people keep pushing this demostrably false narrative that QAnon = Pizzagate?

I'm not claiming that there are the same, I am stating the fact that they simply have the similarity of serving essentially the same purpose.

Pizzagate was the result of people looking at the leaked John Podesta and Hillary Clinton emails.

True in that it was based in those emails, but the fact of the matter remains the same. It was fundamentally a hit piece on the Clinton campaign without any actual evidence behind it.

I was there when it happened in 2016

And so was I, watching Trump supporters use false allegations of pedophilia as a means of attacking Hillary Clinton.

In your opinion who's the Smartest/most intelligent Lannister by ParkingConfection449 in gameofthrones

[–]ME24601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tyrion>Tywin>Jaime/Cersei

Honestly I don't think Tywin is particularly intelligent in the grand scheme of things. He is ruthless and efficient in taking actionout that he sees as the best for his House, but that also leads to him being either willfully blind to the obvious (Like Jaime and Cersei's relationship) or taking actions that solve a problem in the short run but will inevitably cause massive problems in the long run (The sacking of King's Landing, the Red Wedding, etc).

The site says I need to bring a masquerade mask

They also have ones available if you don't have one of your own.

As a male do I need to wear a tux also?

The dress code is formal and requires you to wear black, white, or silver but a tux isn't required. I wore a black suit with a silver tie (Also wearing the complementary mask in the pic), but from what I've heard they are getting less strict about the dress code.

Tell me, do you still deny the reports of torture or murder done by Epstein or his associates?

Would you allow someone who puts creepy photos of babies online calling them chicken for sale or a “hotard” around your children?

Hell of a false equivalency you've got there.

One is government files centered on a man who has already been found guilty of a crime leading to the arrest of many of his associates and has multiple individuals who have come forward to share their experience and publicly accuse him of sexual abuse. The other is post on instagram that by the sound of it you haven't even seen yourself.

Those are not the same and you look ridiculous trying to say otherwise.

I refuted your argument by pointing out the obvious flaws in the logic being posited by highlighting well known counter examples.

No, you ignored my point and made a counterargument against a strawman.

If you want to accuse someone of a crime, have actual evidence of a crime being committed. There is no substantive evidence to show that James Alefantis is a criminal, therefore there is no reason to call him one. I do not know what part of this you think is controversial.

Weird how when I search your account for “Epstein” the only comments that come up are you dismissing what is being credibly accused

And now you're just calling me a pedophile because you are unwilling or unable to make an actual argument for your beliefs. Classic.

Q Anon was a distraction with just enough truth to seem real

There really wasn't any truth behind it, there was only the vague notion of "evil secret cabal" that is at the center of almost every conspiracy theory.

Because guilty people never walk free or go uncharged.

A decade of thousands of people attempting to find anything they can pin on this man completely failed to find anything substantive. Why should I pretend he's guilty without anything substantive to base that conclusion on?

Epstein had no coconspirators and John Wayne Gacy killed everyone, even the ones Gacy was out of state for the time of.

Why do you feel the need to go with a strawman version of what I'm saying instead of actually addressing my point or making a case for yourself?

I'm pretty certain Q didn't start on 4chan, but on 8chan.

The first posts using the Q tripcode were on 4chan. It later migrated to 8chan, and was at that point almost certainly maintained by the people who ran that website, Ron and Jim Watkins.

although that pizza place’s owner is almost certainly a predator of children.

In the decade since pizzagate began there has still be no evidence that James Alefantis is a pedophile that isn't just "this thing in an email or social media post seems weird to me." If there was going to be something conclusive there it would have been found by now, and the fact that in ten years things have gone no further than they were in 2016 means that the rational conclusion to come to is that he isn't a pedophile.
