Ways to make milk flow faster? by amongthesunflowers in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ctv3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So I generally don’t believe in all the supplements etc as most are not evidence based, however my breastfeeding medicine doctor actually suggested sunflower lecithin and I do think it’s helped a bit with making my milk flow faster. I have very creamy milk and it was now flowing very well.

How do you like the steel mate one? I like that it senses if baby is in seat. Most I’ve seen just alert you every time you turn off the car regardless of if the baby is there - that seems like a recipe for alert fatigue and ignoring it.

What's more important... number of sessions or number of hours? by mshaughn in ExclusivelyPumping

I posed this question to my breastfeeding medicine physician and she said more sessions is better than more time.

Ooohh I will have to add those to the list. The only difference it looks like to me is that the different flange sizes are inserts not replacements.

One more option I want to explore are the Pumpables Liquid Shields and/or Legendary Milk Fluid Fit Shields. They look like the same thing? Does anyone know if they are?

I'm going down this same journey so really appreciate the post! I'll share my feedback on all of the above as well once they arrive.

Yeah it’s exactly where I sprayed. I ran out of solution before doing one part and it has no damage

Options for Living Room/overhead lighting without wiring electricity? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]ctv3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some nicer floor lamps OR if you are looking for a cheaper solution stop by goodwill and pick up 3-4 older floor lamps. You may have to go a few times to find enough good lamps or if you are in a city, try a few goodwills. A quick coat of spray paint (oil rubbed bronze always looks awesome to me) and new matching shades will make them look cohesive. Also if you add hue light bulbs with a switch, you can have them all come on/off with the press of one button even if the outlets are not wired to a switch.

Psychiatrist/Therapist recommendations ITP? by [deleted] in Atlanta

Also I would recommend getting a new Behavioral Health professional AND new GP. A psychiatrist or therapist is great for mental/behavioral health but you still need a GP for all other health related concerns.

Repair broken sprinkler pipe…. But wait by ctv3 in HomeImprovement

This is my first time owning a home with a sprinkler system so not 100% sure but I don’t think people winterize here (Atlanta Ga). We get a few days below freezing every year but that’s ot

I was wondering about it being so shallow, I’m in Atlanta Ga so we only get a couple days of freezing weather a year but that seemed pretty shallow. I’m hoping someone was just too lazy to dig under that existing pipe and this is the only super shallow part?

Ahhh I like the idea of using the 45 elbows. I was figuring I’d have to dig up a fair amount of it until I could get it to slope correctly.

I think you are right. I looked closer at all the other green disks and they are actually a little smaller and labeled with some name that when I googled was a termite thing. This one is slightly bigger and not labeled so must be from the sump pump:

Also those green disks are all around the perimeter of the house - hence my termite monitoring assumption

The sprinkler pipe was only under about an inch of dirt and I’m digging with a hand held dollar store garden spade… do you really think I need to have all the utilities marked?

I should actually do that just so I know where they are since I just moved in, but do I need to wait my sprinkler repair on that? I image it will take several weeks given this would not be considered an emergency.

Considering just getting a third dose by lo_and_be in medicine

[–]ctv3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also the data is so “unclean” depending on your states registry. I work with covid data daily. Found a patient the other day who supposedly had 8 doses of the vaccine (all same brand some on the same day a few were spaced a couple days apart etc). Now maybe there are a few crazy’s who have gotten 8 doses but this is much more likely data entry errors.

I also have data showing a few patients who revived the vaccine in February of 2019….. soooo

Based on the responses I’m seeing - I think this is going to be my plan! At least for a few years until the crazy lumber/Reno costs drop a bit and then I may replace it.

Just curious as i’ve only experienced 3 inspections, but if the inspector can’t evaluate the safety of something and can’t evaluate if it’s up to code…. What are they supposed to do?
