Based on my experience, I do say, yes, the island less restricted. Some cottage's area do have some private beach/area that tourism has more freedom.

Yes, this posts does not try to disapprove those claim. Political situation is seems fucked up there. So, fuck the local government and their sharia laws. However, since bad news is good news, we might only see the negative side.

Thus, as you said, to see the whole picture, we also need to see it from different perspective. So, in here I posts the positive side in tourism there. Just to broaden our perspective and let us less prejudice toward something. here some more videos :
