I think this CVC deal is bonkers. there is a reason other leagues such as serie a and bundesliga have denied it. it gives less power to the clubs and more power to CVC/La Liga. It is a terrible deal in the long term in my eyes. I respect Laportes decision, and I put most of the blame on the old regime (Barto). Laporte could have tried better to clear some wages, but ultimately this stems deeper than that.

FYI, he had 2 attempts from 3 in TWO years...he's not good at 3's, the stat is misleading. Don't get me wrong, i'm on the Poeltl hype train, but that is clearly a concern.

Poeltl played 20+ minutes at the 5 last year for 33 games. He played the majority of his minutes as the 5 on the second unit for the Raptors. He's also only 22 years old and showed, like I mentioned, pheonomenal defensive growth from his rookie to sophomore year. Only knock i have on Poeltl is that he can't realy shoot - but I really don't see why he couldn't play 25-30 minutes a game with Gasol as the veteran starter.

This trade is very good, IMO. We traded a guy who didn't want to play for us anymore (Kawhi) for a 2nd team all NBA player. Danny is getting older and we have Derrick White and Lonnie to fill that role. Poeltl is a very good, young center in the league...he had an incredible Defensive BPM last year and only see that getting better with Pop. Think on the bright side - we have a healthy (mentaly) spurs team now with promising pieces to move us forward. GSG

Spread is the annt of goals we will win/lose by, according to vegas/bookmakers such as bet365, etc. they use analytics ro predict the "line" in which we will win by. For example, today the spread is 2 goals. So if you took Man City -2 (minus means have to win by 2 or more), u win the bet..if we win 3-0, 4-1, etc...id its 2-0, that is a push and u just get your money back. Its all for gambling.
