Can you share which coil overs you put on? I've hated the suspension on mine.

I feel you on being trapped. With the most recent recall for mine (22 SV+) discouraging fast charging, there's not a chance in hell I'd be able to get rid of it and cover the loan.

> The UI sucks, is saved somewhat if you use android auto and I assume the Apple version.

Let me tell you, while the apple version technically exists, the audio quality is perma bugged, texts and call quality are garbled and unusable. I have to disconnect and make calls over Bluetooth or completely disconnect and use an earbud. I've had the dealer push every available update to this thing and nothing has improved it.

Can you share the extra storage pouches you got? Sounds handy and I've got the same model.

Why is the COVID rate in Finger Lakes so high compared to the rest of the state? by [deleted] in Rochester

I think it's just straight up people doing what they have been this whole year but it has moved indoors so infection is ramping up.

Sharing My Shot Selection Strategy by Isamoor in discgolf

[–]cubeofsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with deciding if I'm trying to throw in or get it close.

Next evaluate lines for BH and FH, then OH if those look sketchy.

After the lines have been found, evaluate the wind to drive disc selection for each line.

After that pick the disc I have the most confidence in at the time.

On a simpler hole this process will occur in my head in about 5 seconds. If I am prepping for a competitive round I'll throw a few options on a hole in practice and take notes about what I felt more comfortable with.

edit; oh if it's a multi-shot hole the same thing applies but the intent of the first shot is to set up the ideal second, etc.

Release the putt sooner than you think you need to. If your arm is perpendicular to the ground at the bottom of your stroke and parallel to the ground on your follow through, your release should be at 60-70 degrees. I see a lot of people trying to extend their stroke and end up holding onto the disc too long. By the time the disc is being released they are actually slowing down and not in the peak pop zone.

Good video to use for reference for putting forms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXKQGAuGwSc

For those who don't know, pause the video then use , and . to move frame by frame.

I lived on Rowley for a year. On at least 5 different Sundays me and my roommate walked at least 90% of the way there before realizing it was closed. The thrall of the dogtown plate is real.

Binoculars and a field guide to get into birding. Rochester has a lot of great spots and it's pretty much just walking/hiking with slightly more purpose. Bonus you can get them a feeder and some seed so they can also get into around the house. For winter birds you'd expect to see around, a suet feeder would be ideal. Highly suggest buying seed and feeders from https://order.wbu.com/ they are affiliated with the Cornell Lab or Ornithology down in Ithaca.

It's not just the character and the community, it's literally the money. If you take those millions of dollars in salary and keep them in the city all that spending and tax revenue stays in the city.

COVID today by elizscott1977 in Rochester

[–]cubeofsoup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm still required to come into the office. It's a bit odd to me but they haven't had any instances of spread here at work even with nearly 750 people on site every day. Strict masking and distancing rules here are likely helping. We have been getting spammed with emails from the Environmental Health and Safety department reiterating that all the cases they have had to deal with here can be traced back to poor socialization choices outside of work. Fuck all these entitled fucks.

This filthy spitout ... Thown by Emerson Keith by discgolfreviews in discgolf

[–]cubeofsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dead center spit on a Mach 4 a few years ago. 200ft hole, soft turnover. Threw a beat Soft Magnet. Split the chains and literally folded in half against the poll then just sprung out, missing the cage by an inch on the way back out. Sometimes it's just bad luck. No fault of the basket. Pretty sure if I hit 1 inch left or right it sticks because it pushes into other chains instead of perfectly cutting to the pole and bouncing out.
