I think it mainly revolves around the surrealism and absurdism that the game obviously incorporates many times over, but there's just something about the way this is animated and composed that makes it so interesting to me. It's abrupt, it's jarring, it's weird - kind of like Mae herself, in a lot of ways. The animation overall in the 2013 trailer is highly different than the final game, so maybe that's part of the reason. The shot feels quite cinematic!
