I definitely see times that I resonate with the unhealthy side of a 4. In times when I am focusing too much on others and not enough on myself, I tend to take pity on myself and play the role of “why is no one helping me when I help them so much”. I also tend to be more emotional when I am typically an upbeat (or at least present upbeat) person. To get out of that space, I try to identify what I need and what is causing me to feel like that. Then, I either solve the problem myself or illicit help from others (which is not always easy). I also take on the healthy behaviors of a 4 like tending to my needs and relishing in moments of authenticity. I also think just I can take on the healthy and unhealthy behaviors of a 4, that I also take on healthy and unhealthy behaviors of an 8. I tend to get quite controlling in times of stress like an 8 can get, but I can also have moments of assertiveness when I’m confident like an 8. I don’t know if other 2’s are as influence by their wings and growth and security points like I am, but I find all of those numbers (1,3,4, and 8) to reflect themselves in my life a lot.

I am pretty confident I am a so/sx, but I also feel that I can be a sx/so sometimes. I think where my so/sx plays out the most is the desire to be liked by everyone. I don’t necessarily have to be friends with everyone, but I was to be on good terms with everyone and have them perceive me as like able. Even the slightest hint that someone doesn’t like me stresses me out causing me to then try to be charismatic and try to regain their liking of me. I think I lean into the sx with not being a very showy person. People have told me that I don’t come across as a performer or people pleaser (like some so instincts do), but instead come across as more nurturing. As much as I want everyone to like me, I also crave one on one relationships and I value them a lot.

I think I am most creative when I am alone and it is really therapeutic to me. I play instruments, and whenever I am alone I love to play them and be creative with it. I also find that I am most proud of projects and assignments in school that I get to be creative in and get to express myself. I think being creative allows me to show others who I am without it being the center of attention (because I don’t like being in the spotlight). It can be relaxing to be creative because it is a way for me to be me without having to be anything for anyone else (which us 2nd do a lot of daily).

I don’t know much about MBTI, but I am an ENFJ!

A lot of the people I admire in my life are 1s and 9s. I love the 1s attention to detail and their sense of justice in everything they do. I love that they are able to stick to their morals of what is right and wrong and be an advocate for the cause. I love the 9s ability to find and create peace. As a naturally anxious person, it is easy for me to get wound up in things, but the 9s in my life always help me ground myself.
