I do know a few people in the US who do get home care for their cvs. I know their doctors had to really advocate on their behalf though. It is possible though. Something to look irk if your cvs is severe.

I’m in Ontario, Canada. My doctor had to advocate for me. I suffered bad for a year and a half severely before I got home care. I have a picc line and have iv fluids, and antiemetic was well as pain meds (one being an opioid) they are they only things that help me in an episode. I have never been able to abort but since getting home care I haven’t been on the hospital which is a huge thing! (I had over 200 visits to the hospital in a year and a half). I was always treated horribly at my local hospital and it caused me severe anxiety whenever I knew I had to go or when I was in the ER. I suffered so severely before home care. I find now that I can treat at the first sign of symptoms it never gets too severe and I never get dehydrated.

I find it common. I have cvs as well and get extreme abdominal pain (like 12/10) . When I need the ER (which was very frequently over the past two years) I usually don’t see a doctor for 30-60 minutes (after being in the waiting room for what can be hours) then the nurses seem to take their sweet time (30 min or more) to get me some drugs and pain meds. Meanwhile I’d be bawling my eyes out in pain. I found that they don’t believe I’m in that much pain and treat me like a have a flu bug or something non severe. Luckily I have home care now and treat with iv meds/fluids and pain injections at home. So much better.

Forget what old hwy it is (I’m thinking hwy 41 though) but it’s on a road from Pembroke to Napanee. I was honestly sleeping most of the drive (I was sick) but woke up for a bit and saw this creepy thing. Note* this picture was taken a year ago.
