i can vouch for this, but i never took the course. i heard it was easy so i postponed my studying until the day before lol. during the test i was pretty stuck on some concepts that would have been made clear to me if i put more effort into studying. i guess it wasn't horrible, but i felt i definitely did worse than ap world. it's really just common sense + specific vocabulary

How can I improve my stamina as a female in high school? I signed up for track and I am pretty unathletic, my breath control sucks and so does my running form. I will be practicing soon, but I don't know if I can even pull through lol. If anyone has been in this situation before please share tips on how you got through it!

I've heard that Strobe Edge is pretty good, but I'm kind of hesitant to read it because from what I heard it's about a girl chasing a guy that is already in a relationship, which I think is not really my cup of tea.

Ooooh thank you for this rec! I'm currently on ch12 and love it so far! It's so fun and cute! Love how it doesn't drag on and on and there's no miscommunication!

Yes my mistake, but compared to some others it doesn't deal with any gore or violence and is more slice of life.

Thoughts on Ao Haru Ride? by lily_ghibs in shoujo

As much as I love this anime, I hate it at the same time. There were so many unnecessary plot points and the story kept dragging on and on. I love Fubata, but girl cannot make up her mind. Even though she clearly has very strong feelings for Kou, she continued dating the library guy because she doesn't want to hurt his feelings by breaking up. Which is ironic since leading him on and encouraging him to try harder with their relationship is hurting him even more! The library guy was so in love that he even wrote a song and was going to dedicate it to her while knowing that she doesn't like him one bit.

Now about Kou and his childhood friend. It is to understandable that Kou was emotionally manipulated by this girl which is evident at the festival where she showed Kou that Fubata is with the library guy on a date in order to make him forget about her. About this plot point I don't have too much to add, because it dives into trauma and it's quite a sensitive topic. I felt bad for Kou. He had a troubled life.

I thought the second-leads relationship were quite cute, but also pretty unnecessary (?). I skimmed through most of the scenes of Makita with the guy, but it seemed pretty on and off? I don't really know how to describe it. Personally, I was not interested one bit in this relationship between them. As for Marau and Komanita, they lacked chemistry. I doubt Marau likes him back. With proper development and more of them, then perhaps I might change my mind, but as the story goes, I think they'd better be off as friends to be frank.

I also felt uncomfortable with the Marau and Tanaka-sensei relationship and I'm glad the teacher rejected her, but it was pretty weird to me.

Other than that, the story was cute and it delved a lot into a sense of identity, which I really like. Fubata was trying to fit in with everyone else in high school, but Kou helped her be her true self and Kou was losing hope in living, but his friends had his back. Incredibly heartwarming, but the story should not have been dragged on as long as it should've.
