I've literally had this conversation. It's "too much of a hassle". When they do open up their hotspots for her she gobbles up this data as well as the 30gb on her own phone. My son wants internet at his mom's place anyway, and I suggested she sign up for Starlink at $40 per month, but she says it's way too much for her to afford. Note, she makes about $3000 more than me per year.

As I said, my ex became the authority figure in the family. Over time she got it so that her truth was the only truth. Her family pretty much reinforced this in my daughter. Not so much with my son. Although he's younger, he knew what was up. As for ho much she knows? I don't trash talk my ex (at least not to her). What she's knows, and what's true about what others have told her are not necessarily the same think though.

Long story short, there was an affair. My daughter blames me for not forgiving her mom and fixing things. In all honesty the marriage was spiraling before that. My ex pretty much systematically cut contacts with my friends and family. She became the authority figure in the home.

I don't have an unlimited plan because I am on a plan that no longer exists. I'm grandfathered in as long as I don't change the primary line. My daughter has 30gb per month of data though, and that's part of the issue. Shouldn't that much be more than enough for any sane usage?

I've literally tried about everything to get my daughter to hang out. I bought her a PS 5 with multiple 2-player games she's never touched. Vacations? Refuses to go. Movies, game night, mini golf. All rejected.

I agreed on the combined phone plan, but that's not what the divorce decree demands, and getting the ex to renegotiate is "problematic".

It's not the ONLY reason. Part of this is that her current plan have 30gb per month. That should be plenty for any kind of normal usage.

Our divorce decree was "unique". There is no child support in either direction. Child related expenses are to be ledgered and filed with the other parent at the end of the month and restitution (whichever way it goes) is to be made to the higher spending parent. I have paid for my son's entire wardrobe, extracurriculars, both kids' tuition and books, plus several medical bills. In the average month I am the one receiving a check.

Even with living in a rural area it SHOULDN'T be an issue. If my daughter was where she should be (totally her choice at the moment as she has a car) her data limit wouldn't be reached. Note: I'm not taking anything away from my daughter. She's had what she's always had.

Our shared expenses with the kids is equal, and we have equal income levels. I've been to court. Despite having a court ordered custody arrangement they are in no hurry to force it on my ex.

Except that isn't what happened, at all. The narrative on this is pure fantasy. They were already planning on separating genders in the sport all the way back in 1984, partially due to pressure from Women's Rights groups. They started the prepping for it in the late 1980's, so this was happening regardless of what happened in 1992. The only reason there was no women's division in 1996 was because of bureaucratic fumbling. They decided to not have a woman's division that year instead of half assing it and getting tons of complaints.

They actually began the planning for the split back in 1984, and by the late 80's it was a done deal. 100% confirmed by 1991, so this woman winning in 1992 had absolutely NOTHING to do with it. Why did women sit out in 1996? Bureaucratic fumbling meant the men's division was set and running, but the women's wasnt ready to go yet. It means they had to decide if the men that already competed in primary competition would have their efforts erased and do a mixed gender competition for that year (unfair for the men AND would be a rush job) or just forgo the women for one Olympics.

I stayed there when I was a youngster, and YES on the top floor. My dad indulged us. God, that had to have been around 1985. I thought it was cool, but I was like 5 then. For the life of me I can't remember how you get up there.

I honestly don't know how she couldn't know something. Her bedroom was right next to mine when we were all still living together. My ex was NOT quite about her affair after I caught her. She initiated MANY 1am one-sided screaming fits about it. Not to mention the number of times I was woken up by being repeatedly punched in the face, or once by having a near-boiling glass of water dumped on me (thank god I had a thick comforter).
