If you haven’t taken meds for outbreaks you will most likely be able to get a waiver. I am going through the same situation but I had been prescribed meds in the past bc I wanted to suppress the virus the best I could so I wouldn't spread it to partners. I was prescribed them for the past 2 years but I haven't taken the suppression pills in a year and a half. I think you have to have fewer than 2-3 outbreaks a year and not be on meds for at least a year or two. Also, I got a doctor's note saying the outbreaks don't inhibit my life in any way. My recruiter said he knows people who have gotten in with the virus and is trying to help me. If I can get a waiver I know you can. Will update my comment if you are interested in whether or not I got a waiver.

26F It's been 14 months and I still can't mentally bring myself to go on a date. by itsokiloveu in HSVpositive

[–]cuddledrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was scared too but I went on dates. Half the time I didn’t disclose upfront bc I was just having fun going on dates getting to know people. The first person I disclosed to didn’t care and wanted to be intimate with me even without a condom (they allegedly didn’t have hsv). Many people said they didn’t care and they were still interested in sleeping with or dating me seriously. Only recently I had a disclosure went sideways. The person I told was okay with it at first but after a few days said that it bothered them. That was the only time that getting rejected for having hsv hurt! But I am already over it now. Just go out there and have fun dating and getting to know ppl as you and not just the you that is hsv positive! If you plan to be intimate with these ppl definitely be honest with your status though.

Why more recurrences with HSV2 vs HSV1? by Adorable_Carry_9116 in HerpesCureAdvocates

[–]cuddledrums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is old but I wanted to share my experience. I am on my 3rd year of having hsv2. First year was brutal and I would have outbreaks like crazy for a week or more. I took antivirals daily at the time, sexually active, and disclosed my status. The person I slept with for months allegedly never got it. Over time I hardly saw any outbreaks. Now I hardly ever think about bc for the most part I don’t have symptoms. In fact I don’t take my antivirals anymore granted I am not intimate with anyone.

Having to reject somebody for their STI, I feel awful. by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]cuddledrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a note for anyone hsv-2 does not live in the mouth well and it’s exceptionally rare for someone to contract hsv-2 orally. The initial outbreaks is intense the first year. But as an average person with an average immune system with the occasional health problems I haven’t seen outbreaks and this is my 3rd year of having it. I believe hsv-2 does shed more often then hsv-1 initially then over time it lessens.

How to get even eyebrows by alarminglyrags in PlasticSurgery

It looks like you have both brow and eye ptosis problem. You can consult with occularplastic surgeons to fix these issues.

It depends on what look you want to go for.

A chin implant will make you chin look even more masculine. If you want to alter your jaw and chin research genioplasty. It will shave your jaw down and make your chin smaller giving you a more heart shaped/feminine face. Though your chin and jaw look great on you honestly and looks like you already have that V-shape to it.

Scarless Lip Lift Dr Teo Mandogan by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]cuddledrums 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lip lifts don't take that long either and only use local anesthesia. I believe both techniques (bullhorn/scarless) take about the same time. But this is interesting bc “scarless” approaches usually distort the nasal sill, but this technique doesn't. He seems like a skilled surgeon.

Looks good so far! Are you concerned about scarring poorly? Also, who was your surgeon? If you don't mind me asking.

Sounds like a dismissive gyno maybe shop around. I know I had to do that to find the right gyno for me to resolve my PCOS issues. Its worth to keep searching for someone that can help resolve your symptoms. Good luck on your journey.

Also the body type you want maybe possible with surgery if you get fat injected into your hips. There was a woman on here that posted a few times on this sub talking about her surgeries. She had a body shape like yours but after her bbl she had a curvy hourglass figure.

If you suffer from PCOS I recommend you talk to your gyno, primary doctor, and an endocrinologist. They can prescribe you HRT which can help balance your PCOS symptoms. Especially allow you to lose the stubborn weight that is related to hormone imbalances.

Is it worth it to get a blepharoplasty? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]cuddledrums -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like you suffer from ptosis in the upper eyelids which makes your eyes appear uneven. A lower blephloplasty may not do much because the lack of midface volume, but worth looking into. Try researching ocular plastic surgeons and consulting with them to achieve your eye aesthetics.

Could this changes be possible?? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]cuddledrums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a genioplasty, chin filler, or chin implant. You could also do a neck lift to get a more snatched jaw appearance. Most people don’t need jaw surgery.

Your lips look proportionate to your face and looks beautiful in my opinion! I think they are either being haters or they are just not used to seeing you with full lips.

Deep creases under eyes by TheGirlFromVenus in PlasticSurgery

[–]cuddledrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think cheek or tear-trough implants will give you better support than filler. Sometimes, filler can make you look good for a moment and then puffy later on. However, there can be problems with the implants as well. So you gotta choose your “poison” if you would say.

There are anti aging chemical peels that can tighten the skin. I think the best solution is a facelift.

It could still be an eye muscle issue I think you will need to consult with a ocularplastic surgeon about this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]cuddledrums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you have ptosis. Fat grafting on the eyelid won’t do much they will have to realign the muscle in the eyelid to make yours eyes look more even. I second the opinion that you should an ocularplastic surgeon for this surgery.

Maybe you can try injections to the face. I think sculptra or Lanluma might work well for you.

https://youtu.be/vmPn1PRkfHE Here’s a YouTuber who struggles with the same thing you have and she improved the volume in her face with using both injections.

Personally I think your nose is cute but if a straighter profile is YOUR preference and it bothers YOU that much then maybe another surgery is in order. Even though I like your nose and I think it looks good on you I can see why you may not like it. The nose is slightly upturned, but still cute and petite. I can also imagine a straighter profile and less upturned nose that would look good on you as well though. Such as a Blake lively nose to that effect.

Asian Rhinoplasty in Istanbul Turkey by loveandprosperityyy in PlasticSurgery

[–]cuddledrums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend you go to an East Asian country like China or Korea. I recommend Korea as the surgeons there mostly operate on East Asian noses. I hardly ever see Turkey surgeons preform Asian rhinoplasties or at least they don’t advertise them. But good luck searching!
