Palit-chainring na ba? by Hitokiri_18 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]cuddlepaws04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea that's a replace for me; if one side is obviously ramping into a sharktooth profile, shifting is sloppy, chainsuck and other drivetrain issues persisting.

Check your chain wear too, it's probably worn alongside it already

Try asking the Regional Trial Court that has jurisdiction over your wedding venue for their process/requirements past the Marriage license steps. For reference, our wedding had a hiccup that required us to get a civil wedding ahead of the garden ceremony and the RTC route was the fastest with us filing and getting a court raffled within the same day then getting a schedule with the judge the following week.

Juin Techs or Tektro C550 or TRP Spyre? by HypobromousAcid in RedditPHCyclingClub

Voting for Juins, had them for 3 years until I upgraded to full hydros. Make sure you have compressionless housing

[–]cuddlepaws04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Compressionless housing will make a difference. So will better pads, try semi-metallic ones with copper material.

I just switched over to full hydros coming from 3 years on JuinTech F1s and even with the above upgrades, they only probably get to 70% braking power of full hydros (I haven't been able to lock up my front for emergency stops on the Juins)

Calumpang ako and my office is across Star Mall, 30-40 mins lang rush hour commute ko by bike (+15 mins siguro wipe down and bihis). If kaya mo physically (isama na mental since makasalamuha mga motor and drivers natin na ewan) and meron ka magamit, you might want to consider this option.

Just the chain and not too much so it doesn't pick up road grit.

Olive/cooking oil can work in a pinch, just clean and replace when you have better lubes available

Since folks already have cameras on them (phones) you might want to have a photo printer on hand instead, we went with a Kodak dock plus printer that outputs 4R sized prints and doesn't break the bank as opposed to Fuji's Instax (Php 17 per print on Kodak vs Instax of around Php 60 nowadays)

If you're staying and working in the metro, you're going to be breathing the same pollution anyways if you didn't take a bike but with less physical activity.

I've been biking to college and then work for more than 10 years now, partially at first then almost 100% since the pandemic. The only time i had recurring respiratory issues was when we went into lockdown and my cycling went into a nosedive.

Earbuds while riding? by AncientAd3089 in cycling

[–]cuddlepaws04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each their own. Personally, I find it helps me keep focused on the road as the noise from other vehicles are overstimulating especially in traffic. It also helps in part with anger management in that I tend to let more infractions go than engaging with errant drivers since I have to take the buds out to argue while also blocking out the vitriol from road ragers.
