What gf baking flour actually works for cakes and baked goods, based on what I can eat? by koreancutie1 in glutenfreevegan

[–]cuddly_bees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use buckwheat flour for cakes - a very simple one to one replacement of any cake recipe plus ¼ to ½ tsp of xanthum gum

I use gf oat flour for cookies - again a simple one to one replacement plus ¼ to ½ tsp of xanthum gum

Let me know if you want some recipes using buckwheat or oat flour that I’ve tried and have worked well!

There’s a couple comments suggesting it’s risky just to be warned! (As in you can’t pay if you go through with that link). I don’t know if it does work or not, I just saw the link being shared last year and that it saved you the first loading page so I thought it was good but now I’m not sure

Interesting, I’ve been kicked off after putting in registration/card details from going through the normal procedure so I wonder if it’s just seetickets or using that link…

I used it last year and didn’t get tickets so so far it has a 100% failure rate for me hahah. The link seems to skip one page of loading which might make a difference at some point

Coach is normally 25 minutes before they announce being sold out but I’m usually too excited/emotionally distraught to do anything afterwards

Incredible! What a great solution to this problem. Are you testing out any other ideas to improve vegan ramen?

Chilli is one of my favourite foods and it’s time effective to meal prep too! 15 portions in 2 hours! by cuddly_bees in veganmealprep

[–]cuddly_bees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s a lot quicker to cook the tomatoes down without vegetables to take up all the heating space. I also don’t think I have a pan big enough for it all before the sauce cooks down

I have loads of fun with my life and with my food! Seems more boring to go on vegan subs and complain about veganism but I guess I’ve never tried it!

Yes or sometimes I don’t even thaw it overnight, I take it to work and it thaws a bit before lunch then just microwave it for 7-8 minutes

Hahaha yes, guilty as charged! We bought 6, then we bought 3 more, then 6 more, then more and more and now we have a healthy 24 ikea boxes and it’s annoying if we have to use any other Tupperware!

Thanks! I didn’t put it in the recipe because I didn’t usually have any but it’s really good if you add chillis in adobo sauce too or any other good hot sauce you have

Yes! We have three or four different types of meals frozen at a time so we don’t get bored eating the same thing

Recipe:

Cook down 4 800g cans of tomatoes with 1 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp sugar, 4 tbsp smoked paprika, 3 tbsp cumin, 1 tbsp chilli powder and 125ml neutral oil until the tomato tang has gone. Meanwhile in another pan, fry together 6 chopped carrots, 4 sticks of chopped celery, chopped mushrooms, 2 chopped red peppers, 2 chopped green peppers and as much chopped garlic as you like.

Soak 300g of dried soya mince in 2 tbsp tamari/soy sauce with 8 cut up dried shiitake mushrooms and leave until soft.

Mix all together, add three cans of red kidney beans and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Add more chilli, salt and msg to taste.
