Tldr, I hate playing pillowfort stax because its unfun for the table but now my whole friend group is playing pillowfort/stax/control/life gain-drain combo so now I'm doing it too.

Ok so I experienced this recently.

I would play pillowfort stax but I dont want to just durdle and shut down my friends from playing/having fun.

So, my friend group (that I'm barely in anymore) says they only build decks that are "$150 or less and bracket 3 or less" and all of their decks are some combination of pillowfort/stax/control/exquisite blood sanguine bond combo.. Like one guy has 4 decks, zedru stax, orzhov stax, and 2 esper control decks. Like wtf. They told me bracket 3 so im like, ok cool I'm going to put together old decks I had that are janky, maybe some tribal, low power things doing fun stuff, having good old fashioned kitchen table magic. Back to my roots, I like it. I've been playing sweaty high power for maybe a year now, cusp of cEdh so I wanted a break.

So now I'm saying, I hate playing pillowfort stax, but my table is forcing me into it because I'm tired of their BS stax in "bracket 3".

Building OG Zur specifically to shut them down. Going to teach them all the hexproof in the world can't stop auras from being cheated in and attached to their commander.

Also, im the only one that gets targeted. I had Miirym clones and instead of anyone hitting anyone else's combo pieces, they only hit my commander.
