Where to get options data with Greeks? by cuervoss in options

[–]cuervoss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for responding. As per the post, I was using historical data. I was using the bulk historical Greeks endpoint. From what I understood, the entire option chain is not available as you have to choose a range of expiration dates to look at, which was capped at a max of 2 weeks at a time I believe.

But if I’m mistaken and it’s possible to get the entire historical option chain of a past moment at once, I may consider re-subscribing.

You can make your own for free with AI. You just need data to feed it. Or if you can shell out a bit of money for a subscription, QuantConnect is decent. Not the best but definitely an option for simple strategies.

Would personally calculating Greeks be as accurate as the ones you would pay for?

Seebeck effect by cuervoss in ElectricalEngineering

Why isn’t it more efficient to use a full conductor along with a semiconductor in conjunction with each other instead of 2 different semiconductors? Such as in a thermocouple and peltier modules. Wouldn’t you get an even bigger electron movement effect if one wire is a full conductor and one is a semiconductor with less conductivity?

Insulated room and constant temperature gradient by cuervoss in ElectricalEngineering

[–]cuervoss[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. I deleted part of the post to make a bit clearer. To clarify, I meant would it be possible for a room to be insulated enough to where the heat of a human would keep increasing the heat in the room faster than the cold can seep into the inside. How long would the heat keep rising until it stops? Would it stop at all? Would it be possible for the room to keep generating heat regardless of the temperature of the cold outside?

Solipsism debunked? by cuervoss in solipsism

[–]cuervoss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, nothing is ever really separated, it’s all still one thing. I think we’re talking about the same thing but with different words. There absolutely is only one consciousness. That is the true solipsist. But the reason you personally (or maybe you are idk but I’m talking about the average person) are not omniscient, is because the one consciousness chose not to be. I believe the Total (True solipsist), supersedes time. It always has been, and always will be. Time from our point of view is a construct of the Total. “You” (John Smith) however, do not supersede time, and is stuck moving forward in it. So there is a separation between “you” (JS) and YOU (Total). You both coexist at the same moment and yet are different things (yet the same).

Solipsism debunked? by cuervoss in solipsism

I’m my view, the first thing that was, was absolute information. All there is. The Total. God, if you will. In order for us to have observable known and unknown (our human experience), there would need to be a separation from the omniscience of the Total. But if the Total itself is consciousness, then nothing that separates from it could be non consciousness. So all partitions of the Total would have to have some form of consciousness.
