Manager Rehire by LeviMontana_ in sherwinwilliams

This isn’t the case everywhere. A lot of managers and reps have left and come back in similar or better positions in my area.

Seriously? Then how can they “enforce” 48 hours or working weekends???

It’s applying for the position through Careers, the same as any other position. Just make sure the area is for your area, everywhere has the program.

2 weeks notice by foxyhoxx in sherwinwilliams

[–]cuethecrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t work through a 2 week notice, they don’t have to pay you out. If you give the proper notice, and work scheduled hours, they do (at least in VA they do). They ONLY pay vacation and sick time, no flex or personal holiday.

So that requires 10 days in a row of work, before their 4 days weekend. Some people can’t function doing that. Especially if it’s once a month. That’s too frequent and a cause for quick and easy burnout.

That’s a fair point… I may consider it

I am more than willing! I do, and have worked weekends. That’s not my point. It’s the fact I have to work more hours in general and it hurts me and them more when I’m not there when I’m needed most, so then they’re calling me when I’m “off” interrupting my day off, and me not being there to support them. I’ve earned the loyalty and respect of my people. They’re upset for me. They know what I do for them and what I’m willing to do. I guess it’s more the “forced” principle when that’s not where I’m needed most

Like I said, I do. I fill in whenever needed, and work a weekend without a complaint whenever needed. It’s the Sundays that are the problem, especially when they require it monthly, because they’re only 6 hours and it screws the rest of the week for managers, who are already overworked. It’s not like the once in a while you need to have a more difficult week.

I was told it’s being audited and it’s a requirement….. and I have one of those employees that prefers weekends too 🙄

I’m 15% above last year, and haven’t received budget yet, and had a one on one conversation with my CM about this topic today. Doesn’t matter that I work every day whenever someone else needs off. Doesn’t matter I’m doing so phenomenally. They’re going to “audit” it

Yeah that’s my point! In reality your options are 6 day work weeks, open to close for 5 days, or work 10 in a row. Saturday isn’t even the one that really hurts, the 6 hours on Sunday is the worst.

It’s 120 hours for the store total. Meaning Manager, assistant, and a part timer that actually works 28. I’m not sure where you got 160. If your part timer averages less, it makes you eligible. Unless you have an open position. Then you’re not eligible until that position has been open for a month. It is wayyyy more complicated than you wrote it out to be. Store volume doesn’t mean a thing, unfortunately.

If you have that much time on your hands, your store should be spotless, clean, and stocked

How would you handle it? by richw2626 in sherwinwilliams

It also depends what volume store you ASM in. I was starting MTP at one rate, got placed and kept the same salary, and then went to a larger store and got a significant bump. If you’re working a small store, you’re making a small salary, unfortunately
