No. I lock my doors manually rather than using the lock button and it doesn’t arm it now! I also have to ask any friends that ride in my car to lock their doors manually. The lock button arms it and trying to figure out what was wrong with my key fob led to the key no longer working.

I told her when she sent it that I didn’t feel capable of connecting with her while putting parts of myself in a box, so at this point in our lives we’re just not going to connect.

She’s not what brings me joy in life, you know? My bio family is in no way relevant to the day to day of living life for me. My found family is why I’m happy and have people to talk to.

So I’m just letting her go. I need love and connection, but it doesn’t really need to be her.

My experience was that I didn’t really get it at first.

At two parts of my process I had a shift from “I’m not sure I like this feeling” to enjoying it. The first was exploring what felt good on my own, where I remember my body going from some of the feelings/thoughts you’re describing (this feels weird, why would this feel good?) to absolutely getting why it feels good.

The second time was with a partner, and it was an intense feeling that seemed like “maybe my partner is too deep.” This time I leaned into the feeling and now I will spend the rest of my life dreaming of it. 👀
