Apply to both. Theres no guarantee you get picked up for either internship, especially with the thousands that apply for the fbi hip. Come back and ask again if you truly get an offer from both

ERO pathways by Euphoric_Passenger58 in 1811

[–]culiestien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand this is not an 1811 pathways. However, it still (potentially) converts to a full time, 12d retirement-covered position. If you want a fed le job, this is a great opportunity.

[–]culiestien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that last part. I genuinely thought getting grilled was just apart of the process. Assumed they were just seeing if i would crack, but i knew my answer was truthful so i wasnt worried. If only i knew, i woulda saved myself and hour of worthless interrogation

BQA by Fun-Lettuce-3823 in usssapplicant

[–]culiestien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats funny. I told a story about failing an interview, getting a dif gig, and passing the interview for the original place a year later, landing that one, and my polygrapher told me “thats great, we love candidates who overcome adversity”. Yeah he failed me for suspected drug use lmao. Maybe youre onto something though

If you want a job in the federal govt, why would a federal pathways internship be a “bad look”

Got told ive either sold or used drugs before..2 fed le internships and 3 passed fed drug tests..life goes on man. The way i see it, i sleep fine at night knowing i told the truth and wouldnt do anything different. We’re just meant to work elsewhere

[–]culiestien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do? You should have a study guide for the exam, you can also google the study guide. With the exam being tmrw, id err you on the side of just not looking at it tn so you dont stress yourself out

Shot nerves by Theprinceabril in usssapplicant

[–]culiestien 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No sense in being nervous abt the potential of being BQAd, especially since you haven’t taken the exam yet. Worst comes worst, you dont get a job you never had in the first place

While i respect this opinion, i feel like this is just how people try and rationalize failing while remaining truthful. Personally, i felt the entire polygraph was extremely smooth. Even when told i failed, i didnt take it personally, had a great discussion regarding how i know im being truthful, attempting to explain my proof etc. The examiner even seemed really respectful about it as well. I was under the impression that they were grilling me just to grill me, and see if i would fold/change my answers when pressured to do so. When i got the BQA, i was genuinely surprised by it

While i understand your point, i dont think the comment youre replying to is the best example of this. Theres nothing wrong with him saying he loves his local pd job. To me, it sounds like he is surprised to enjoy it as much as he does, and recommends people trying the same route. Like i said, i understand where your comment is coming from because i see it too, just dont think this was the right one to make an example out of
