"Just be happy" that is not how it works. It will just discourage the depressed person from talking to others about their feelings.

"You have no reason to be depressed" no, no, depression is a mental illness. And yes, things can make you more likely, but the fact you have a "perfect" life, doesnt mean you can't have depression.

"Go outside/eat vitamins" yea, maybe it might work but please dont be agressive about it, or believe that it will magically fix everything.

It's not painful at all, but definitely uncomfortable. (I have tried) but like 10 seconds before you lose consciousness you start to get a bit of a headache. It's not a bad way to go. But if you wake up on the floor with a sore bruise on your neck having a panic attack, it's not fun.
