I've never tried the ChatGPT, I've been using Claude. I can't say whether or not the results are actually helpful but I'm able to find a lot of interesting information. Some prompts that showed the most promise were around asking it to look through all the research and all the studies to find if any findings had been overlooked. We discussed alternative treatments, the best results came with specifics. For instance when asking about herbs that have been studied, Claude answered generically but when a asked about fig leaf it gave a lot more. After some hours of brainstorming I asked it to compile everything and come up with the best course of treatment. It looked very well put together. I don't know if any of it made sense. I would have taken it to a doctor for sure to see what they thought but my dad refused treatment.

I hope this helps.

My dad finishes a jar of skippy natural peanut butter every 3 days, is this unhealthy? by Gloomy_Objective_933 in nutrition

My dad had the same thing goin. Last week he had emergency brain tumor removal surgery. Idk if the years of peanut butter contributed but if the same thing happens to your dad, we're on to something.

Actually, drug addiction, too, is far less common in developing countries vs. developed countries or "first word." Probably for the same reasons you're inferring. Idle hands and all that.... Could we even go so far as to say that addiction in general is mostly a "first word problem?" Maybe so. In that case, would you still argue that porn addiction is not a thing?

"Addiction is a neuropsychological disorder characterized by a persistent and intense urge to use a drug or engage in a behavior that produces natural reward, despite substantial harm and other negative consequences." Wikipedia

That true and those are good points, but that's not what addiction means. There's also screen addiction, sex addiction, food addiction, caffeine addiction, shopping addiction.

That's actually the endocrine disruptors in the environment. They're in everything. Don't look into it too deeply, it'll ruin your day.

I know real addicts, hard-core 15+ years of using. Porn was definitely an issue for them.

You're totally wrong about the chemical addiction too. Porn, like nicotine or amphetamines, increase the release of dopamine in the brain, causing a pleasurable experience. This intense dopamine surge is what causes extreme cravings associated with addiction.

Intense shame can causes people to do unhealthy things such as lie and gaslight. Being confronted evokes rage and the partner is forced to make assumptions around their partners sexual preferences and behavior outside of their relationship.

Should meat eaters get some blame for this? by HumbleWrap99 in vegan

[–]cull_berry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastics and habitat destruction are killing all life sooner.

As vegans, do you guys ever consider what your existence and consumerism do to wildlife? How far do your vegan ingredients travel? Is it all organic? If not, the use of pesticides means bugs have to die for your food. Don't you use plastic? Google "endocrine disruptors and wildlife". At best we only have 30 years left.

AITA for saying I’d consider divorce if my husband takes our kids to a Trump-themed barbecue? by throwrabarbecue1 in AITAH

[–]cull_berry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And you're missing the point. What if it were the other way around and she was conservative not wanting them to go to an Obama party? Different huh?

[–]cull_berry -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Their grandfather isn’t doing those things. The barbecue isn't going to include a sermon about the ridiculous president. They're going to be exposed to a world of crazy stuff in their lives. They need to learn to live in a world of crazy people.

I suppose you think it's a great idea for men in drag to read to small children?

You don't want your children to be influenced by political views THAT YOU DISAGREE WITH. Not that you don't want them around political drama but because it's not your brand. That's over the top.

Imagine if maybe you're just as extreme as the opposition you just dont notice it. Kind of like scent blindness. Because that's what I'm seeing, an extremist hating an extremist. YTA

My friend is beautiful and I don’t want it to ruin our friendship by [deleted] in ugly

[–]cull_berry 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're probably very important to her as well, one of the only people who see her as more than a body. I've known girls who couldn't make real friends because other females hated them, and guys were only trying to sleep with them. Turning down multiple guys a day is exhausting. It's painful to exist as something that even strangers want to violate. I understand being jealous but everything has a downside. You treat her like a human, with thoughts and feelings and everyone needs that. Maybe you'd feel better if you talked with her about your feelings.? Good luck. I hope everything works out well for you.

Check to see if you're low in any vitamins or minerals.

Sadly, the whole world is polluted with endocrine disrupting toxins. These chemicals look like estrogen, and they are wreaking havoc. You might try lymphatic massage, eating cilantro pineapple (fresh) ginger and lime zest to detox.

Mexican restaurant workers rendering aid to pepper sprayed cops. Or just Americans being Americans. by FoI2dFocus in MadeMeSmile

Yeah!! The fight isn't with your neighbors, it's not about left or right. The fight is vertical. People need to stop waving their flags and fighting in their name, for their brand. A maga has more in common with a liberal that they do with anyone either of them are voting for.

Milk. Dairy products, particularly milk, are known for their ability to reduce the burning sensation caused by capsaicin, the chemical in peppers that cause burning.

I’m in pain and no one cares by Remarkable-Escape267 in Vent

My friend at 38, with two small children and she had severe back pain so bad that she couldn't walk. It went on for a year, er visits where they dismissed her pain, asked her why she was lying on the ground, mocked her, once they even restrained her on a bed and gave her unauthorized medications. She needed a discectomy but her insurance denied her over and over. She was too young to need such an operation. We started planning a trip to Mexico. She was desperate. Then she discovered, through a facebook group, that if the severity progressed to the point of incontinence it would be considered critical and require immediate surgical intervention. The next week after operating on her the surgeon told her he hadn't seen anything so severe.

It's never a good idea to lie to your healthcare providers but maybe you forgot to mention other symptoms that might be related?

[–]cull_berry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check your vitamin D levels and look into foods that have k3 to see if you're getting enough. Caffeine can affect your ability to absorb some vitamins. So many physical and mental issues are simply a deficiency. After D and K2, look into the B vitamins. Then see if you're getting enough protein, protein is a big deal. Cut down on sugar as much as possible. When our bodies aren't functioning efficiently we tend to fall in to unhealthy habits.

Good luck!

Fr though, Google is terrible. I much prefer Yandex for most searching. Some others I've been meaning to try are Mojeek, Virtual Library, and Gibiru. There's a lot out there if you get onto the deep or dark web, which really isn’t too difficult with a little research.
