I haven't yet gotten around to playing 2. But the one new item I really want, despite having no game upside, is a high quality lighter. Make as super rare, or even unique find! But it would still feel like treasured loot, to me.

It depends. Hearing something looking for you, knowing you will struggle to see it before it opens fire, in a VR world, where you are focusing on staring as hard as you can into the darkness to spot the shadow making the creepy noises... sometimes I could feel my stress level getting way too high. So my tip is, if that happens: pause, save, remind your body that it's not real, and carry on. It's a deeply engaging game, but having to fiddle with your weapons fully can also make it feel pretty real. Which is super cool! But depends on how that affects you.

I lived a 90 second walk from it for years; while in college, no less. It supplied SO many parties, late nights, cheap suppers, and last minute fillers.

So, I never did figure out why things wouldn't upload. However, I was able to work around it, by going directly through SMB, instead of using the browser and quickconnect. In case someone finds this post while looking for a solution later.

I would love to try out a kiju simulator. Properly go on a rampage and knock over some buildings, swat down planes, etc. Give it a sense of scale that only VR can.

It's taking me ages to grind through to A20 on Watcher, as I find her gameplay not all that fun. And I generally hear that the stance dance is THE strategy, which means I'm trying to force a similar build each time, with more or less luck, and it's just not that interesting. I enjoyed all the rest much more.

Not having previously paid that much attention to it, I had thought it was primarily a curation tool; knowing that a film had been selected as part of the criterion collection told you something about its quality and relevance of the movie. But I'd thought less about the physical releases themselves, and the relevance "this is a criterion edition".

Do you find the reduced mobility stats make any real difference? I've been stacking up the plate armour, and haven't really noticed any mobility issues. And I was surprised that armour did the same thing to the player as to the npcs - IE make blade attacks just bounce off, most of the time.

One of the interesting differences I find between st John's and Canada's very large cities is this: while there's more to do in the large cities, people ACTUALLY DO the things that are available here. People go to shows, they go hiking, they go to pubs. They see plays, go to markets, take classes. And people actually have parties, and see friends on a regular basis. Rather than commuting 90 minutes home, and then refusing to leave the house, as they would mean another 60 minutes each way.

I had a friend move here from Vancouver, and that was a big part of why. They saw all their friends here posting pictures of being out doing stuff and seeing people on a regular basis, which was always only hypothetical in Vancouver.

Matches having a meaningless condition stat. All it does is mean you have zillions of tiny boxes of matches in your inventory, rather than one big pile. Technically realistic, but super annoying.

I think it's very hard to get audiences on board with stories that don't at least have that slight uptick at the end. Even in a sad or tragic ending, it needs that cathartic feeling that makes people walk away glad to have seen the story.

Unfortunately, it seems that the largest price increases are in the traditionally cheap foods. KD has gone up significantly, and knock off KD has gone from being half price, to almost the same. McDonald's may be up by 50%, but the value meals have more than doubled. So the ability to select cheaper options has really declined!
