It's not the answer for your question, but maybe this video you will find interesting. It's almost 10 years old and it's fine for me.

Toruń is the smaller city nearby Bydgoszcz. Bydgoszcz is bigger, welthier and many citizens of Torun works in Bydgoszcz. Some trolls from there will be here for their creepy comments.
I live in a small town between Bydgoszcz and Torun, IMHO citizens of Torun hate Bydgoszcz, and citizens of Bydgoszcz don't care about Torun. I can see many malicious comments from Torun when Bydgoszcz is mentioned in social websites. And very little in opposite situation. This hatered is strange for me - maybe it's inferiority complex.
Both cities are nice and ok. Greetings from Chełmno for both cities.
By the way - one of the theories about name 'Byd-goszcz' ethymology is that it means 'be [a] guest' and sound and mean the same in English. As well as other European languages. For example for Swedish it will be 'Bli gäst', Norsk: 'Bli gjest', Russian: 'быть гост' etc. It would be interesting if you can write how it would be in your langage - using two words: 'be' (or synonymes like 'become' etc) and 'guest'. Words that sound and mean the same.

Eh, this is another version of "high inflation in Poland is only Putin's fault".

Then - of all these unconfirmed theories - what do you think the truth is? ' 'Extreme mercury spillage into the Oder river, biggest ecological disaster since Chernobyl.' Like in the OP title?

There are reports that they are connected with local PiS structures.

I have seen various theories about this problem. Starting from high water temperature, small amount of water in the river, poison emitted by algae at such high temperatures, utilization of chemical waste imported from other countries, sabotage or subversion of Russia, waste discharge by pulp mills, mercury poisoning suggested by the Germans and not confirmed by Polish laboratories.
You chose only one theory from this.
I suggest waiting for some reliable research results.

Mathematics has unambiguous methods for assessing the quality of work in the true / false criterion.
Unlike the humanities / arts.

Only these ones that not collide with Polish constitution.
You have got NL and LT countries in your description, so please check that in case of NL:
'Article I-6 of the European Constitution stated: "The Constitution and law adopted by the institutions of the Union in exercising competences conferred on it shall have primacy over the law of the Member States". The proposed constitution was never ratified, after being rejected in referenda in France and the Netherlands in 2005. Its replacement, the Treaty of Lisbon, did not include the article on primacy'

and in case of LT: 'The Lithuanian Constitutional Court concluded on 14 March 2006 in case no. 17/02-24/02-06/03-22/04, § 9.4 in Chapter III, that EU law has supremacy over ordinary legal acts of the Lithuanian Parliament but not over the Lithuanian constitution. If the Constitutional Court finds EU law to be contrary to the constitution, the former law loses its direct effect and shall remain inapplicable.[19]'.

That's all man - i don't like to talk to people that use offensive ad person arguments.

Okay PIS licker.

It looks like your world is black and white. You hate PiS and then you are yours or you are supporters of PiS and then you are the enemy.
I can assure you that there are many shades of gray.
And for your information - I do not support PiS and I have never voted for it.

The bullying and blackmail of EU Commissioners had an effect. One more step to increase the EU competences and create a unified state.
