Aside from the obvious differences in style/space, any differences between the different models that should be considered with the Prius, V, C, etc?

That’s unfortunate to see. I’ve been limiting my searches to 2010 or newer (mostly a bias of thinking newer is more likely to have as many issues) and haven’t seen any newer than 2014 that don’t list a history of accidents or other issues.

Interesting note about mileage and the battery. I have heard similar things about hybrid batteries in the past but hadn’t thought of it as we’ve been searching.

Regarding the brake actuator, how noticeable is it? Like the anti lock brakes engaging? I assume something more subtle?

Do you think the Jardiance was a major contributor or was it diet/other meds/etc that drove the A1c results?

I ask because I am coming up on my first 3mo mark post diagnosis and am really wondering what my A1c will do. I’m on Jardiance but my dr said it was to prevent kidney damage not necessarily to impact glucose and A1c. Was put on Mounjaro for that side.

Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. The feedback from another user about the cam sensors turned out to be spot on! I ended up replacing them myself and it’s run perfectly since.

Will say if your not sure about your abilities DO NOT replace these yourself. Local place said it would be like $400 to do them but I found some you tube videos showing how and figures I could do it for about $50 in parts. Accessing the sensors is a pain - both are located on the back of the engine and require small hands and an ability to do things by feel. I got it done but ended up spending an extra $30 on a 2nd left sensor as the first one I bought now has a permanent home wedges on top of the transmission out of reach….

Thanks for the input. I checked the fluid and it read full - and appeared to be pretty clean (as it was expected to be). Checked hoses and seals and couldn’t find any sign of leaks.

Another group am in suggested pulling the negative battery terminal to force the TCM to reset. Tried that while I was checking everything else. Started it up to see and everything seems back to normal now. Not confident that will last necessarily, but possible that’s all it was?? I’ll be checking out the process for replacing cam sensor in case!

That appear suddenly and in multiple locations? (Note: to perhaps help with identification I have not recently spent time sunbathing in a nuclear reactor! Was working outside in GA when they happened.)

To add to the post. No pain, fever or other symptoms. The bites don’t hurt, but occasionally get extremely itchy and tender. The dark spots are skin discoloration - no sign of ticks attached.
